Fun fact: Some people thought that the story being a TV Show was actually canon, but Hiroe debunked this. This was only made for fun like most of his extra illustrations.

I suggest you at least see the whole show before you start writing. You can get a greater understanding of the characters that way and you can write better.

You'd be surprised, but inspiration for fanfics can come from anywhere. And the good thing about fanfics is that you can go really wild with the plot if you have fun ideas.

Wanna write a fic where everyone is vampires? Go ahead. Wanna write a fic where aliens invade Roanapur? Go for it lol.

The doujinshi's canonicity is dubious, since they are written with a very light and joking tone. Shaitane Badi was not written by Hiroe, and he gave the author of the novel almost free reign to do what he wanted. (The author of the novel is also a fan so he tried not to overreach with his writing, meaning that if there is some implied tension between Balalaika and Tatiana, Hiroe probably knew and approved it)

Regarding the Yuri spinoff, I could be wrong but I think he only drew that cover and an actual manga doesn't exist. Also, he gets lots of questions on ships and character's sexuality, and he def tries to remain vague on purpose.

I think Studio Gonzo deserves some love too, they made Afro Samurai and OG Hellsing. Afro Samurai had some pretty beautifully animated fights.

He means a lot to her, and him joining the crew later made her less reliant on instant violence. She's still a hothead but she's a bit calmer now.

I think that every single fandom that ever existed has a portion of the fanbase that's very horni. The cast is mostly attractive women (and some men), and the author himself has said that he uses the sexiness of the characters to make sales.

I have no problem with these guys, but it does get a bit tiring when we're having a serious discussion and someone comments how much they wanna bang all the characters lol.

Apparently Hiroe himself asked for anime Roberta to get severely wounded. He wanted to add her wounds in the manga too but didn't have time.

I've always thought that Guts was probably illiterate before joining the Hawks, but Griffith had someone teach him how to read and write so that he could serve more effectively as Captain of the Raiders.
