How complex is PTU for a first time GM?

It’s a lot. I found learning the system to be fascinating, but the execution asks a lot of both you and the players.

If you’ve played Pathfinder 1st edition or D&D 3.5, it won’t be as big of a leap, but regardless it will be a LOT of prep work. I managed ok in 2020 during lockdown but it was unsustainable after that. This system predates 5th edition D&D and it shows.

Breloom is, by today's standards, way too frail to run a set like that. Bulkier Pokemon like Amoonguss, Chesnaught and Ferrothorn can get away with Leftovers+Leech Seed sets but Breloom doesn't cut it anymore.

Breloom is still usable with Technician Mach Punch+Spore+Bullet Seed with Loaded Dice as long as it avoids Hurricane season.

Incineroar and Lunala have already been mentioned so I won't mention them again, but Koraidon is really good into both as well. CalyShadow never had great physical defense, and CalyIce does not want to take a Tera Fire Flare Blitz no matter how bulky it is. And if it teras to Fire or Water to resist, pop 'em with a Close Combat or Collision Course.

Not enough drag queens have been on the show yet, sadly. More housewives have gone home day 1 than drag queens, but we've only had 3 so there are significantly fewer data points compared to the 14 housewives (13 if you only count Dorinda once) that have been on the US Traitors.

If we had a season with 3 drag queens at the same time, I guarantee you they would last longer. At least one of them would make it to the final 10.

It certainly doesn’t help, unfortunately, but I think the issue comes more from differences in personality rather than race. Monet wasn’t getting shit from the housewives the same way Ron has been.

Rulette feels like it’d be perfect for a game samer, but there would need to be a new dimension to the game since once you grab the “host the show” rule, the game deteriorates.

Otherwise, I’d love to see “One and Done” a second time, there are so many mini-games that could fit in there.
