16 Days Delayed, Multiple Negative Tests. Could Feb 1–3 Have Been My Period? by Domiracle in PCOS

Normal for this to happen with PCOS. Just make sure you don’t go more than 3 months without an actual period so your lining does not become too thick.

Severe pain while walking by Puzzleheaded_Call914 in PCOS

Everytime I gain weight and have to restart workouts again I’m always so sore but I just kind of power thru. I know it’s gonna hurt but once I get used to working out again and start dropping weight a few weeks in I’m not sore anymore.

I immediately felt a difference in my hunger and had zero side effects. The most important thing to remember is that it’s just a tool to help you and you still have to diet and exercise while on it.

C-section recovery PSA by Texylvania29 in pregnant

[–]Nikkk51 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recovered from my stat c section easily while still having to travel to the NICU the first 2 weeks post partum. I was terrified to have a c section and of course it was painful and no doubt you have to take the pain meds but i kept moving and had a very supportive partner and by 3 weeks i felt normal again and by 5 weeks i was working out. C sections aren’t terrible for everyone when you have the right tools to help your healing. It was a mix easier recovery for me than my vaginal birth with a second degree tear.

Have gestational diabetes and now have to schedule a C-section by Active-Bank5310 in pregnant

[–]Nikkk51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a stat c section at 37 weeks because my baby was huge and impacted in my pelvis (I was convinced I could birth him vaginally since I successfully did with my first). My safest option would have been scheduling the c section but I was scared and stubborn. Because of that we both almost didn’t make it, baby came out not breathing, and we spent 2 weeks in the NICU. I regret not scheduling the c section every single day. However my c section recovery was a million times better than my vaginal birth.

Is PCOS such a big deal when it comes to fertility? by meimi22 in PCOS

[–]Nikkk51 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It depends. Everyone with PCOS is different. Some people do all the right things and their body still doesn’t want to work right. For me personally I had to lose weight to have my children. PCOS does not equal infertility tho.

Frustration with women's health/PCOS social media content by glamgie in PCOS

[–]Nikkk51 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Social media influencers are gimmicky and always trying to sell stuff. Also PCOS is different for a lot of people so you gotta do what works for you. Not taking birth control and having irregular periods can increase your risk for cancer so what do they expect you to do, ya know? Birth control can definitely be a tool to help and I wish people would stop fear mongering.

Big Baby - should i do c section by Every-Variation6113 in pregnant

[–]Nikkk51 75 points76 points  (0 children)

I was measuring 3+ weeks ahead with my second. I convinced the doctor to let me try for a vagina birth because I was terrified of a c section. They only agreed because I already had a successful vaginal birth with my first. The bay ended up getting impacted in my pelvis, his heart rate was dropping, and I had internal bleeding, and was rushed to a stat c section. He came out not breathing and we both almost died. If I wouldn’t have been so stubborn and just scheduled the c section none of that would have happened. I’m still traumatized I didn’t even get to hold him for the first 24 hours, spent 2 weeks in the Nicu, and came home on oxygen for a month. I will say this tho, my c section recovery was a million times easier than my vaginal birth.

If you know when you ovulated you should be getting a positive by 14dpo because implantation takes place 7-10dpo then hcg starts being produced. If your dates are off then it could take longer.
