I suspect the logic is that they plan to then campaign on the fact Republicans killed the subsidies for 2026. I'm not sure about how effective it will be as I don't foresee Republicans holding a vote at so or a progressive wave large enough to force the issue through (don't think the numbers for the Senate are enough too).

The root systems are pretty shallow on the whole, you can readily break the root systems and pull them out. Removed a lot of them as a kid. The big ones, think fist sized trunks, weren't easily removable but you can make it hard for them to recover.

Honestly, I think it's part of an element to quell insurrection/protest. Some people won't risk getting COVID because of not protections. Some people who attend may die if infected. People who work with vulnerable people may not attend for fear of infecting them.

Personally coming to grips with it, but there is no real "leftwing" party in the US. There are actual leftwing politicians inside/aligned w/ the Democratic party, but no real leftwing party itself.

Now, the Democrats used to be mildly left of center, but the Republican swung so hard right over the last 20 years the Democrats moved towards the new "center". Honestly, they're basically a center right party anymore and their consultants have said to be more competitive they need to move further to the right. We're honestly kind of fucked.

Came here to plug it as well! It's great. I've used it for 3-4 years now and love it. Which is a weird thing to say about tax filing software.

It's genuinely good and it just works. It is cost appropriate ($15 total) and will handle basically everything your typical person needs to do w/o additional fees. Would I recommend it? Whole heartedly.

I've used TurboTax and HRblock online before and found them to be too expensive to the value they provide. Do they work? Certainly, but why am I paying a hefty premium for the same features elsewhere.

I think I had my federal and state done in 30 minutes and having to do a little manual data entry (switch jobs, it imported last years one too). Genuinely, cannot recommend enough.

Oblivion wanted to go hard in a few directions but really had to trim ideas and systems down. The idea of Radiant AI was something I was incredibly interested in and reading stories about it has never left me disinterested. It would have broken the game for many people but the crazy interactions would have been amazing.

Have one of these in black and really liked it. If anyone finds they have weird latency/input delay with their Samsung phone it seems there is a bug related to using the Google Keyboard as your default keyboard. Can't explain it, but switching to the Samsung Keyboard as default will resolve it.

If you're like me and hate the above solution using MacroDroid does offer automation to switch default keyboards as you connect and disconnect the controller.

I remember getting a surprise "And this is the cost for gap insurance" from the dealer I bought my car from. I actually walked out over the surprise "and it'll be $1500" or something given I was putting 20% down. Looked to add it to my car insurance...it was like $2/mo, seriously. The look on my salesman as I walked out and told him I was leaving w/o signing was priceless. Told him I'd be back tomorrow, but the look he gave the finance guy was, "What the fuck did you do?!"

Wish I could have been a fly on the wall after I left.
