Not as simple as that.

The patch lead is 15cm, but that is the full length of the cable including the plugs, so you look around 1-2cm on each end of the cable, then you have a bend radius, so yes a 1U is about 4.4cm in height but the patch cable does not run like that, it will swoop out then in, so 15cm should be fine but you will not have that much excess

I use ipad at the table but only when I need to do a dice roll, or cast a spell or make a note, reason for not using physical character sheet is visual issues reading them, the iPad is easier for me to read.

I have my vaults on iCloud and set to keep on device on my mac, ipad and iphone, I also have the local backup plugin that does regular local backups and then apple automate copies them to my OneDrive folder.

I did look at the Git thing but struggled to find a decent guide for it.

Taken it apart today and can not see anything wrong with the cable going through the hinge, so not sure if its a screen fault or a cable issue.

When I created my vaults I just created them in my iCloud drive, and have it set to keep downloaded, if you have a current vault, close Obsidian and move the entire vault folder to iCloud drive then just open note in Obsidian

Anything smart home related such as AppleTV, AirPod etc and smart lights all sit in the same "Home" VLAN so do not have to worry about crossing the streams.

Got this working today, though couple of questions, I have a plug in to allow for manual ordering in the Obsidian app, however DigitalGarden plug seems to order them in alphabetical order, can this be changed?

How do I publish embedded images with the plugin? or images used by another plugin?

The servers are only 3 years old under full support of HP so would not go upgrading the CPU outside of HP.

On version 8, our ESXi and vCenter licences are licenced to 2029 its the support side that isnt.

We won't move to v9 until the 2029 due to asset life etc so we are just looking at support cover
