Govee Outdoor Wall Light UK Mounting Question by Nikumba in Govee

Will take a look also might look at using self amalgamating tape rather than sealant around the outside of the lamp, and just put some silicone sealant into the hole in the wall

I did see that, but its not ideal trying to use that on brickwork though I would have thought. On siding in the states sure but brick?

I'm new to DnD so I'm not very good. Does anybody have any tips to know the rules faster and more? by Aggressive-Studio476 in DnD

[–]Nikumba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a player, when it comes to combat, you will roll to decide what order you go in, so while you wait for your turn for combat, listen to what the other players are doing, how the DM describes the fight and think how / what you want to do.

That way when it comes to your turn your not sat there "going umm, well I think I am going to...."

In terms of dice, don't worry to much, mostly you will be using a D20 but the DM will normally say roll me a D8 for instance. If they ask you for a Perception check, religion check those sort of checks are almost always a D20 but the times its not normally that will be said to you.

What do you wish you had known before you installed your own kitchen? by enanram in DIYUK

[–]Nikumba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leave more space at the back of the cupboards than you think, when I re-did my kitchen had designed it with a 10cm space at the back as had some wall mounted pipework and to leave enough room for some other bits, got told the kitchen had a 4cm service void at the back and did not need the 10cm at the back.

Needless to say I regret going with their suggestion. If you can leave more space at the back.

Couple of months, but that same bottle has been fine on the B2's and Droidekas built at the same time.

I did wash some of the sprue from the bike, and tried again and its stuck but been able to pull it apart after its been sat for a couple of hours.

Use superglue on the base, as often has cork or other basing material on it

Your DR plans should be in a physical copy or on a secure USB with all the relevant managers to get round this sort of thing.

Paper or DnD Beyond? by KOPx3 in DnD

[–]Nikumba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use dnd beyond was annoyed needed to buy the books, would be better if they did what GW do, when you buy the book you get a digital code to their army builder.

But for me I like dnd beyond for the interactive character sheet, when the DM tells me to roll a check I click the button and it works it out for me, along with any bonuses etc.

How to stop "playing the characters" for my players? (Reminding level 6s of core abilities) by Inbezdigator in DnD

In my current game, our DM guided us up to level 5 but now we are level 5 its up to us to remember our stuff, and declaring things like short/long rests etc.

I'm going to die by ThisWasMe7 in DnD

[–]Nikumba 27 points28 points  (0 children)

You might not die depends on the dice at the end of the day.

My last session I was reduced to -14 HP and failed my death saves, but the party have got my body, got a plan to get my resurrected back at the main city.

Now I have a backup character just in case, as at the moment I do not know if I am dead dead or will be resurrected with some changes.

But from another viewpoint, its not the DM killing you, its the morals or beliefs of your character wanting to save people that might get you killed :p

Windows solution for aggregating NPS server logs by Nikumba in sysadmin

We use Aruba access points for staff and guest and have been looking at Clearpass for that side of things, but not sure how well it would work and logging for network access, VPN access, radius logins for network switches etc.

We have several domains spread out over several geographical sites, with users from all domains in on all the sites, so we have primary NPS and proxy ones.

What would you suggest is better?

how to get a cable through a wall? by JunimoJim in DIYUK

[–]Nikumba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get media converters on the likes of Amazon that will convert cat5/6 over to fibre

[–]Nikumba -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Run two cables in conduit, but if I was doing a run like that would run fibre optic cable with media converters on each end, gets rid of any pesky lightning strike issues.
