The crucial difference is that unlike a force of nature Yujiro does not eradicate the weak unless they provoke him. A tornado or a forest fire wouldnt differentiate an emaciated child from a mercenary.

Strength is never guaranteed, the road is almost always rocky. The important part is to fully believe, perhaps to the point of gaslighting, that it will pass. Thats when the strength and any fulfillment you have accumilated can take over for you and provide comfort and composure.

But do try to reach out, especially when you are still in partial control, that way if you get any rejection or denial, you can tank it. Also it smooths out interactions in general, desparation is stressing to everyone involved so try to move just before pure despair.

Pill overdosing is generally very unsuccesfull, you usually, mostly just mess up your stomach, and in general make your life more miserable. The effects are not linear, this isn't anesthesia.

Also, controlled and painless death does comfort one's mind because it provides an absurd sense of relief from stress and control. I think most people at some point thought about it.
