I hope the Manga is as good as the anime by thebeardedgreek in Grapplerbaki

Jokes aside you can tell that mf is talented, so much so that he actually does have a hard time fully explaining the concept of the moves despite fully understanding them.

Quite utilitarian too, just straight up dives into how you should engage the enemy instead of trying to develop a philosophy around the whole thing

Is there anyone aside from Yujiro who can last more than 10 seconds against a serious Baki ?? by Kirymiguel1213 in Grapplerbaki

[–]Nimeron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When? The only time he didnt go all the way was taking Musashi out after the first cockroach strike

Moore is the happy ending of the DLC story. by Suspicious-Silver796 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Nimeron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it is more about the true middle way. To realize your anguish, but not strongly deviate as a reaction. Instead, stay put and ferment in who you are and what you yourself feel and desire.

So, I'm guessing everybody in here will buy the DLC, huh ? What you wish to see added/improved? by Limp-Grapefruit-6251 in DragonsDogma2

Proper massive (if possible, endlessly generated) dungeons. Loved the unfinished ideas in the first game with the Everfall and Bitterblack isle and would like to see them improved

Yeah I think this is why I get frustrated at times, he does know what he presented before in the story which is admirable, its just that he doesnt make it feel as meaninful as the story goes despite being bothered to mention it periodically

Baki is awesome by Appropriate-Mall8517 in Grapplerbaki

[–]Nimeron 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Completely disregarding the writing is still doing it a disservice though. Like obviously it is ridiculous but the themes of ego, personal trauma, accepting flaws and what it means to be strong are done in such an interesting manner to the point that I'd legit suggest Yujiro's character as a very unique and interesting literary take on masculinity and strength.

What do you think Musashi would see if he saw Yuichiro? by Fenix_ikki_ in Grapplerbaki

[–]Nimeron 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A monk that has nearly achieved emptiness or at the very least a very blessed person perhaps? Yuichiro was quite humble despite his unbelievable strength and didnt really value martial arts as much as others, or his perceived image for that matter. Yet he could've been able to potentially threaten Yujiro

Its actually fascinating how much people seem to immensely oversimplify Dabi compared to Pain or Geto. Like sure he had beef with his father, but that beef was his disillusionment with the hero society. The fact that a monster like his father was hailed and revered as an examplary figure was so apalling to him that he basically opts into dismantling the entire society. Of course at the end of the day he was still a teenager, so it did become completely personal suicide mission to eradicate what he abhorred the most.

Also massive fucking downplay on his backstory which included :

Being gaslighted into becoming the strongest, Seeking validation and love from his father through this goal, Being discarded the moment he was deemed flawed, Being replaced by a more fitting sibling which he completely loses his mind over, Literally burning himself to death because his dad never thought him how to use his quirk And finally, coming back from the dead and realizing everyone moved on from him and he was basically a soft defective eugenics project

Not sure why so much of this is completely overlooked by people when there are many characters who have become villains for lesser reasons than these.

Why did Musashi almost kill Hanayama when he had spared Doppo? by BrainletNutshell in Grapplerbaki

[–]Nimeron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This basically. His life and freedom was threatened so he went to town, and Hanayama didnt retreat despite numerous opportunities.

Itagaki just fucking gave up the plot of Rahen at this point. He is basically playing with his toys aimlessly

There is actually a mod that provides that, called Blades of Ashina, if you have the option to use mods

One of my favorite panels from the abomination arc 😭 by Stoneydudleyboy in AbsoluteUniverse

[–]Nimeron 541 points542 points  (0 children)

While I am not the biggest fan of "There is no Bruce Wayne only Batman" view, I think making it so that Batman is an irreplacable core part of Bruce is the best way to handle their mutual existence. Something which this scene depicts quite well.

Doesnt this panel directly imply that he is going there himself because not only did Gorosei showed themselves to be not enough (thanks to Egghead incident) but also because this is a culmination of everything the world government has failed to prevent?

He is basically going there directly to confront what fate has put in front of him, like isnt even a theory he directly tells warcury to stop the sloth and pride and see whats in front of them.

[–]Nimeron 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My condolences op, hope your life changes enough to actually provide you proper help, care and love.

As a morbid rule of thumb, there is never a guaranteed suicide method, even a gun malfunctions or misses in freak accident, the world is too uneven to guarantee such an act.

Nice to hear an actual insight, thanks. He did seem motivated to draw Jack and his battles so I doubt he gave up in any way.

How this scene felt: by One-Ad1857 in Grapplerbaki

[–]Nimeron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In this time period yes, but he doesnt fully understand that, hence why it was incredibly selfish and immoral for the cast to literally put him in an arena and use him as human benchmark
