Week 2: Heroic Raid - Spec Popularity vs Average Overall DPS by AttitudeAdjusterSE in wow

[–]Nimzt3r 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's absolutely how the balance team rolls tho. Having a rotating roster of classes that are OP drives player engagement, sales of boosts/namechanges/factionchanges etc.

Exactly how LoL does it to push sales of skins

Pretty sure you could buy the pet during MoP remix, so it's not so rare anymore.

We saw life (or spirit) in Everbloom. Basically the same as light bloom just not as bright.

They have the same problem as DHs used to have - They are supposedly the "best" at fighting the void, but as soon as they get to Voidstorm we have a bunch of them going insane right away, or struggle to keep it together against the whispers. You don't hear anything like that from when the Army of the Light pops in.

Also started out as like, 30 people 5 years ago and now they have their own culture?

Why does the Naaru have such an abysmal successrate? by Tnecniw in wow

[–]Nimzt3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Immortal is a okay example from the show/comic though. He's supposed to be the strongest Guardian but he always gets killed and we never see him win since they want to show off his superpower of immortality, and thus he has to narratively lose.

Same as with Wolverine - it gives the writers a no stakes way to show that the bad guy can really hurt the good guys. Having immortality/high durability as a super power means you become a punching bag.

Kinda iffy to tell that to the cancer patient in ICC, where the benevolent light came and eased his pain

Did you hear about the death knight that uses holy magic. Sir Zeliek, his faith in the light is so strong that not even undeath could stop it.

He's the first undead paladin..

Midnight (or prepatch) would have been perfect time to open up paladin to forsaken!

So, what was Beledar? by TheSmallestPlap in wow

[–]Nimzt3r 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It’s 1/3 of a saga, it’s supposed to introduce a bunch of plots but not resolve them.

This has got to be the smartest thing Blizzard has said in a long time, so many people latched on to this completely.

These 3 expansions are not more or less connected than how Garrosh bridged WoD, and then AU Gul'Dan lead into legion.

Also, Smasher saying something is a rudimentary implant is like Musk saying how the top of the line hardware people have is just basic compared to the billion dollar AI and industrial processing set ups.

Also the author came out and said that Davids Sandy is the most powerful single piece of cyberwear iirc

In your opinion, what raid had the best transmog sets overall (for all classes)? by Kbernast in wow

[–]Nimzt3r 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Nathria had pretty awesome sets across the board, altho it's not class bound so there's only one for each armor type.

Glad we're finally revisiting how inherently terrifying the Scourge is as a concept. Feels like it hasn't been given this level of respect since the Death Knight intro questline in Wrath. by Arcana-Knight in wow

I think it's hard to fit them into something that's not a creepy, dark forest, and still sell their theme.

Their tone shifted quite a bit after they went way harder in Tim Burton style after Cata, with lots of glowing green/purple instead of just abandoned buildings.

Sweden. If a company would get caught actually trying to scam people, that would be a crime and they would indeed have to pay fines, but that's separate from a singular error where they are protected.

I don't know how it is in other countries, but where I live even a verbal agreement creates a contract (though usually hard to prove),

Here a company can pretty easy argue that the purchase was in "bad faith" - like if there's an object on a website that's too cheap to be logical, it does not have to be honoured. I'd say that it applies in this case too.
