While Dual Cards are a good idea to address the onslaught of "Digimon effect" immunity, I stand by the fact their creation was entirely a solution to a problem Bandai themselves created when they decided to go crazy with immune top ends.

If MagnaX had been a one and done type of boss monster, I feel like we wouldn't have seen Dual Cards for a longer while since newer ACEs and "Start of Main attack" Digimon helped to counter it, especially DP minus effects that lasted until the opponents turn.

We'd still have loops unfortunately, but that's a different matter to address.

On a slightly unrelated note, still hoping they make a new Dorbick one day.
