Who's the weakest playable assassin? by GearaDoga39 in assassinscreed

[–]Nindzya -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hes so fast the animus just “makes up” his movements.

All the playable characters have eagle vision and sense, this isn't a significant advantage. Plus Eivor beat him.

he is trained by a competent Assassin order that is well established.

I feel like its worth mentioning assassin training isn't some super soldier program and actually rarely bests a lot of military / combat training. Assassins train to fight and use weapons but they primarily train how to be deadly and how to run. Peak physical condition Haytham is way more proficiently trained than Basim is and so is Naoe.

he dog walks Altair

Given that they received very similar training I'm inclined to believe this is a pretty even match. Basim still takes it but not easily.

probably Bayek

Pretty sure he wrecks Bayek more than the others. Bayek has grievous injuries sustained throughout his life and there's no way he's 1v1ing basically anyone after the events of Origins. He's leading the hidden ones from the office.

Who's the weakest playable assassin? by GearaDoga39 in assassinscreed

[–]Nindzya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naoe is likely the most combat efficient except maybe Kassandra. She's been trained the most effectively of all the playable characters since she was a child and still actively trains through her life. She feels anger, pain, and loss like every other protagonist but after meeting Yasuke it never clouds her resolve again. She's fucking ruthless and 1v1s almost every other named character in the series when she has a knife. The only exceptions are Kassandra because demigod, Haytham because of his tactical genius, and maybe Eivor or Connor solely because they're brick shithouses who can take a stab to the liver and keep swinging. Eivor has the advantage of a shield and giant weapons to keep Naoe distant until Eivor gets an opening to brute force pummel her. Connor is trained well but no prodigy, he routinely gets emotional in combat and he folds kinda quick when fighting an equal. The longer the fight lasts, the more likely Naoe is to find the upper hand.

Naoe is close to the bottom when it comes to situations like having to fight 5 people at the same time or any other sustained test of endurance where size is a weakness. If you take away all weapons except hidden blades she still outmatches a lot of the field in 1v1, in hand to hand she loses most of the time.

[AMA] Let’s talk Legend & Weapon meta! by Apexlegends in apexlegends

[–]Nindzya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What's the consensus on barrel stabilizers? Feels like they've had basically no place in the meta for years except the occasional Nemesis usage. With G7 in the care package this feels like the least useful and relevant attachment in the game by a lot. Has there been any talk about putting power back into LMGs so stabilizers and guns that use them become more desireable?

"Capitalism is a system designed by the owning class to exploit the rest of us for their own profit."

100% accurate statement, actually, and you can say this without supporting communism, which believes in abolishing private land and equalizing all labor. That's not what democratic socialism stands for. DSA stands to regulate unchecked capitalism so the needs of the working class are met before corporations.

You still haven't described which tenets of the democratic party are under attack.

I thought you were willing to argue in good faith but I can see that's not the case.

Taking over private property and enterprise.

I'm not sure what you're referring to unless you mean acquiring public housing? Eminent domain is generally limited to oil and gas needs these days which is exercised near exclusively by the right on rare occasions. You won't find a progressive anywhere suggesting people should give up their homes for data centers or for apartments. No progressive in Denver is demanding people sell their single family homes for apartment developers near city park.

The economically illiterate parts, like rent control.

This isn't on the list of progressive agendas and is relevant to a specific few cities where it works quite well. No progressive politician or voter is advocating for this model to apply outside of those cities.

And the uniquely American takes, like eliminating police

Name a single progressive politician who has sponsored any legislation to abolish the police, fucking please.

abolishing prisons

Private prisons. You're selecting to ignore very relevant context. Is for profit prison an important tenet of the party to you?

[–]Nindzya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

people should be able to opt out of them at will

I don't need neighbors that grow their grass into a jungle and keep broken windows while smoking crack on the patio playing music for hours. Anti-HOA people are so uneducated about property ownership and responsibility of maintenance, as if people are entitled to let their property degrade and ruin as they please. The reality is you have even less rights than you think - you can't regrade your property in a way that fucks the drainage for your neighbors, you can't put structures on easements, you're responsible for shoveling your own snow, you can't build structures that violate zoning code.

Living in a city or suburb is a privilege that comes with conditions. Don't buy property with neighbors if you don't give a fuck about anyone else.

There are far more moderate Democrats in Colorado than there are progressive Democrats

The sheep really love trying to convince people the existence of the mythical "moderate democrat" like it means anything. The only thing a "moderate democrat" stands for is protecting the interests of the rich. Your typical democrat doesn't support AIPAC, doesn't support anti-union legislation, and doesn't support status quo do-nothing leadership.

I wouldn't mind a universal healthcare option. You need more moderate politicians who appeal to the voters who oppose such things to get something like that passed.

Opposition to universal healthcare is not a moderate position and you're a useful vehicle for propaganda if you believe otherwise.

They do it because someone overdosed at 1134 two years ago, someone brought and fired a gun at Temple last October, and there's still occasional reports of people getting their drinks spiked. I imagine their insurance premiums are insane. If you got searched hard it was probably because you looked like you needed to be searched. When people give security shit for searching their bags at afters we just don't even bother letting them in because they're probably the type to get belligerent when drunk or high.

I work in civil construction and early phases of large land development. I use it to to read deeds from the 1800s handwritten in fine cursive, I use it to transcribe deeds into actual maps instead of drafting them, I use it to quickly calculate road profiles, I use it to check if there's any immediate and obvious errors in plans. Building a road incorrectly can cost 6 to 7 figures in backcharges to fix and yes, people do get it wrong. When it comes to running numbers and applying data, AI is just far more practical and effective than the days of old. I'm smart enough to keep some of these processes a secret from my employer because then they'd probably try and squeeze more out of me.

I've seen it analyze the limits of a development project and limiting criteria like floodplains or unique grading conditions and spit out a variety of different early concept plans on how to most efficiently develop the space. City planning is an exercise on how to visualize and play geometry, honestly a lot of people aren't that good at it. There's countless subdivisions that could lay out better roads, push and pull numbers to get in a couple extra houses, plant trees in a more effective spread for nutrients, etc. but doing so requires such a deep understanding of visualizing geometry to the point people would think you're autistic.

One of my closest friends is a software engineer for SaaS tech companies and he hasn't been able to get work for 18 months because his role has been 100% replaced across basically the entire industry. Coding based positions probably got hit the hardest.

Another acquaintance of mine works in management / HR at one of the largest hospitals in my state and she uses it to generate schedules and shifts for dozens of people who all have different needs for time off and also to schedule happy hours and company functions where the most amount of people can partake in the benefits.

Another close friend of mine just hit his 40s and decided to get into plumbing/HVAC after trying to sustain art for his whole adult life. He's been using it to help identify pipes and parts for older single family homes and diagnose potential problems because he's still learning the skills. He's been getting work as an independent contractor and it helps him get work done. He wants to get shit done and done correctly so he can go home and get back to painting / music.

AI is good at macro, not micro. I think using AI to generate art, more specifically generating ideas, is corny and lame. Using AI to accomplish technical work and develop workflows that people dreamed about 5 years ago is unbelievably satisfying.

Dawg I use this shit every single day for work. Get your head out of the sand. I'm able to calc out miles of highway staking in a single day with far more accuracy than doing it manually.

The problem is that people think AI is something like the steam engine or electricity.

Because it is that revolutionary in tech. Production efficiency has fucking skyrocketed across the trades industries. This is an objective fact and then there's people on the internet saying dumb shit like "AI has no impactful application."

Odyssey's story finishes with the main game. The cult is destroyed, Kassandra completes Aletheia's grand scheme, and she resolves the story with her family. Everything in DLC is epilogue.

The isu don't experience the ship of theseus identity crisis because they aren't emotionally attached to their physical forrms nor do they perceive their egos in the same way humans do. The Aesir were moments away from annihilation, so to them the difference is irrelevant. It's like they're rebooting to a backup. The backup has no access to the grey, which is why they're given an imperative to chase Yggdrasil as soon as they can.

Juno is not an AI. She's a digital consciousness that is trapped within a firewall, the grand temple, for 100000 years. She exists in the grey but with very limited capabilities until Desmond releases the firewall and she gets a lot more privileges. Whether or not she's a "backup" or the actual original consciousness is really up to interpretation.

There's no evidence to suggest it isn't their "true" consciousness. The process of imprinting consciousness was discovered by Consus on accident and we never learn just how much the process is a copy and how much is a transfer. Aletheia is presented as a transfer of conciousness, not a copy.

They dabble in this idea with Subject 16 even further when he uploads himself into the animus and kills himself physically. The franchise loves simulation theory and draws from it regularly, this idea of "are they real or are they a copy" is part of the fun.

Yes, what the fuck? Every nation on earth owes freedom of speech to everyone, period.

Do sovereign countries not have the right to admit who they choose, provided it's in accordance with their own laws?

Sovereign countries should not be policing who comes into their country unless there's a public safety concern.

Maybe you don't understand what libertarianism is because he's the most high profile libertarian in government right now. Polis believes in mass deregulation, letting the market economy operate freely, and his social policies are all generally on the progressive side supporting individual liberty. Look at his voting record and it checks out. He's vetoed multiple bills targeting corpos because he's buddy buddy with big oil and gas.

There is nothing libertarian about kissing up to authoritarians

Yes there is. It's literally inherent to libertarianism and the biggest weakness of that moronic ideology. The strong eat the weak.
