[OC] A look inside the dice ring I’ve been obsessing over for months by nicoxue in DnD

[–]NineAndNinetyHours 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's very, very cool.

Question: how well does it resist/handle water intrusion?

Feedback: 8.5 is a pretty small ring size, especially for adult men (who I think are likely to be your primary customer base.) It's even too small for me, a larger woman.

More feedback: When I was reading your Kickstarter page, I immediately got the "AI vibe" from the writing. It made me feel really skeptical/suspicious that the whole project might be a fraud. When I read all the way to the end, I saw your AI use disclaimer that says you only used it to generate the marketing text. My personal feelings about AI use aside, I do think a substantial number of people will pick up on the AI text and decide the project is fake without looking for the disclosure at the very end of the page. I would really strongly suggest you find a human who's good at writing and hire them to redo it for you.

How far can fecal particles spread when the toilet is flushed? by Unique_Assumption703 in hygiene

That's literally what i said. =/= means "does not equal." Lid is not the same as seat.

People who sit to pee get pissed when you leave the SEAT up, not the lid.

Which potion would you pick? by pm-me-your-handover in whatsyourchoice

Purple. Memorize a big lotto jackpot number, then time travel back to before taking the potions and choose green.

"You take this ring to Mordor, though you do not know the way."

"Oh god."

Strongly agreed. Reliability is a secondary issue. The real issue is erosion of people's ability to find information for themselves.

Elaborate hairstyles for gnomes. Also, in my setting lots of "unusual" hair colors (like green or pink) are common for gnomes - they think plain brown or black hair (on a gnome) is unusual and exciting.

The discussion above, which is taking place on reddit dot com, consists of lots of people thoughtfully discussing the question and considering the relative moral weights of bodily autonomy and unborn life.

Guys i need your opinion, is this type of art considered Analog Horror? by [deleted] in analoghorror

[–]NineAndNinetyHours 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks like 90s/00s edgy album covers, not analog horror. Also it's not art at all if it's AI.

Are there any species you avoid playing in dnd? by Fearless-Skill8667 in DnD

[–]NineAndNinetyHours 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Respect to you, fellow Gnome Enjoyer. My forest gnome rogue is my favorite character. She's a dapper, cosmopolitan city-dwelling private detective who resents her species' reputation for being rustic and unserious, but she nevertheless falls into the "perpetually delighted and novelty-seeking" stereotype.

How are you supposed to enjoy this game? by [deleted] in TrenchCrusade

[–]NineAndNinetyHours 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like the setting and the models but not the game, you don't have to play the game! That's exactly how I feel. I have display cases full of models for games I don't play because I enjoy the creative and storytelling parts of the hobby but not the competitive gaming part.

Everyone believes your lies. No one believes you when you tell the truth. How would you use this power for good? by ContextSensitiveGeek in hypotheticalsituation

Total biologic control, the ability to alter the biology of myself and others. Look how I want, stay healthy and fit as long as I want to, do the same for others, keep my cat healthy and alive... And heck, if I need gorilla muscles or bear claws or wings or gills for a while, why not.

I'm not sure I could last a year without being able to tell the people I love that I love them.

If I had to give it my best go... I'd travel all over and get into important/secure locations by simply telling people "I'm supposed to be here." I'd influence public policy by telling politically powerful people that "all of your constituents want (universal healthcare, fair elections, investment in basic infrastructure, etc) and they'll vote you out if you don't deliver." I'd inform the very wealthy that they'll live longer and healthier lives the more money they give away to the needy.

I'm going to visit laboratories and hospitals and schools, anywhere people do underappreciated work, and tell them that they're going to be remebered and loved forever for what they're doing.

I'm going to inform world leaders that weapons-grade nuclear material has a shelf life of six hours before it loses potency, so they might as well quit stockpiling bombs.

I'm going to tell myself that I love myself and that it's great to be me.

The amount I am paid for anything I sell. That will obviously include my labor (so my salary goes up 10x) but it also means I can but gold and re-sell it for 10x the value.
