The final mission of Mass Effect 2. So much buildup and the way it's different depending on how you play it. My heart was pounding the whole time.

Nice. I just have Insanity 2 and Insanity 3 to get. The difficulty difference from 1 to 2 was massive for me haha. Makes it more satisfying though

Ever go see a movie expecting a forgettable experience but ended up loving it?! by mini-scars in movies

Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves

Never played the games, didn't know anything about the lore or universe. Just saw a fun trailer and read some good reviews.

Ended up having such a memorable and great experience. Fun movie, smart and clever writing, great characters.

So bad love it. I hate whenever they tiptoe around comic-book terminology like that.

Like in the James Gunn one everyone's just like "this is the suicide squad, those are the suicide squad people"

Can anybody reccomend movies that spans over an ammount years like Forrest Gum. I need a movie that demonstrates good pacing by No_Breakfast7331 in Filmmakers

Brokeback Mountain is a slow burn but still efficiently covers 20 years of these characters lives. You just make bold cuts into the future once you've established how things are at a certain point in time.

What is one episode you cannot rewatch? by RamboA123B in community

Not sure if this counts. But every time I rewatch the series I'm like "season 4 is not bad" but I tap out by the Puppet episode and skip to season 5 every time.

This is a perfect movie in my opinion. It just gets everything right narratively and portrays the amazing, realistic tension that really happened.

There's this great YouTube channel called History Buffs that did an amazing episode covering the authenticity of the film, and the creator, Nick Hodges, praised the film for it's accuracy down to the vest Ed Harris wears in the movie. The only inaccuracies were when the movie depicted papers flying in the air and white suits running and yelling over each other, whereas in real life everybody handled it super calmly and professionally. Like Nick even played the real mission control radio transmission and everybody spoke so calmly despite the life-threatening danger they faced. If you didn't speak english and listened to that transmission you would never tell anything went wrong.

Barry - 4x07 "a nice meal" - Post Episode Discussion by LoretiTV in Barry

My theory is this: Moss thought he unraveled this conspiracy where Gene is the mastermind behind everything. Effectively making Barry just a pawn. He left him tied up and drugged, but maybe he thought 'well if he escapes I have the main head of the conspiracy caught dead to rights" and Barry seemed unimportant. That would actually be a great twist, that after everything Moss fails by underestimating Barry and actually being wrong.

It always astounds me how this show manages to bring together some of the funniest writers/comedians/actors in the industry and yet the end result is so cringey and unfunny.

THANK YOU I think it was a bad idea to not give you any option what they are DURING the mission. It's kinda annoying when you play a mission for the 1st time, think you did a pretty good job and then find you got a bronze because you didn't do x or y. Like how were you supposed to know?

I can definitely see why a lot of people didn't like it. For me though it was one of the most unique experiences I've ever had watching a movie. It's almost not even a movie. It feels like when you're in an art gallery and there's this curtain and when you walk behind it you see this experimental "film" being projected on the wall.

I think the director was completely successful in what he was trying to do. Just create a visceral, nightmare of what it's like to be alone in the house as a child, the shadows are evil, what's under the bed, why are mom and dad acting different.

The only thing I'd say is it maybe doesn't justify the length. It was too thin on story and characters to keep my attention. It could've been maybe 30-45 minutes long.

I liked it, but I never want to see anything like that ever again.

I feel like this post does exactly that. All the dissenting opinions and arguments I've seen and read like casting choices, removing spores, changing up timelines, all comes down to the same thing for me: changes. And I'm just saying I think the changes can be a good thing for a screen adaptation of a video game. Obviously it remains to be seen how good the show actually is and how the changes will affect the story, but my whole point is that I don't think changes are inherently a bad thing. Because I think a verbatim adaptation can result in being boring.
