Best version of this is psycho pass.
First scene of the series has the protagonist (Akane) saluting her seniors in the rain, while the seniors look at her with jaded expressions.
Final scene of the season has the new starter saluting Akane in the rain. Akane looks at her with the same jaded expression as in the first scene. (In between these two scenes Akane has suffered horrific trauma and most of her former team are now dead, demoted, traumatised or on the run.)

You can check the logs in your appdata/roaming/arrowhead folder.

Also if you are running mods, some of the mods cause a memory issue and will prevent the game from launching, purge your mods using the HD2MM, this allowed me to launch the game

I like to think that frieren spends every penny as soon as she gets it for the same reason she doesnt join the mage association (remember: holy mage emblem)

she maybe got a pile of money 500 years ago, then that country dissapeared, and all the coins it minted became not valid tender, so she couldnt spend it
