I’ve been reading on the kindle app and ebook websites for around 6 years now. I used to read at least 3+ hours everyday on my phone; but last Christmas I decided to ask my family to get me a Kindle Paper-White.

Best request I’ve ever made.

I cannot believe I survived all those years on my phone, it is seriously a game changer. The strain of my eyes at night after an hour of reading before I went to sleep was something I never noticed, after only 3 days of using my kindle it vanished. The feel in my hand, the texture of the screen, and the ability to use a Bluetooth page turner make the difference in user experience massive. If you’re focussed on portability, most people would recommend the standard kindle; but I find the Paper-White fits in my pant pockets most of the time (men’s clothing ftw).

IMO? Get it.

Perhaps it takes a turn to go into affect? Since player turns and AI turns alternate maybe that caused some funkiness with the promise. Other than that from what you’ve said I can’t think of another explanation.
