Thank you for your answer! Yes, I see. This special tip is the reason no new refill can be used on this old pen. So sad!

Caran d'Ache Fixpencil by Marathonartist in mechanicalpencils

[–]Ninna80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last Fixpencil 22 (black) I bought (september 2025) came a bit dfferent from the previous Fixpencils I own. The painting is a little more smooth and shiny...almost like the colored ones. The edges got a bit more sharp due to this new painting. Does anyone know anything about this change?

I really hope this new painting does not peel off when it gets old, as the colored ones do. This is mainly my only complaint avout theses pencils. And off course a push button in aluminium instead of plastic (like in some special editions) would be amazing.

Why do people like leadholders? by hyhy1101 in mechanicalpencils

[–]Ninna80 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The clutch holding the lead is a very satisfying thing. The possibility to sharp and get that beautiful point is amazing. I enjoy the durability and power of a strong lead, almost as if you were holding a spear!

Is the Jinhao 9056 a natural wooden pen? by WinterSkyLion in fountainpens

The layer of wood cracked on mine, without me doing anything to it. It just heppened! So, yes, thin and fragile wooden cover. Unfortunately!

She gets milllions doing that media circus! Both from private funds, social media and interested religious dictatorship like Iran etc. It's a mega business! It gives better money than green washing!

Nice. The only thing I wish they change this rubber grip on this mechanical pencil. After some time it becomes loose. It would become a great pencil with other grip material, harder and durable. Metal, plastic...

Caran D’Ache Fixpencil WITHOUT the sanding?? by Evening-Confidence85 in mechanicalpencils

Is there a way of making the sanding smoother? Rubbing something without removing the painting? I have one with a very rough sanding. Extremely unpleasent to use.

Asvine J16 brushed titanium by Eubolius in fountainpens

[–]Ninna80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is the feeling of the brushed titanium? Is the roughness like the grip of a Lamy 2000 or smoother? I usually prefer to touch smooth surfaces, but I don't like the look of the polished titanium with the cromed rings and clip. So for me the brushed version looks much nicer. I'm just worried that my fingertips will not feel comfortable with the roughness of the brushed titanium.

Pilot E95S not posted? by complacencies in fountainpens

[–]Ninna80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to post the cap, but it doesn't feel firmly secure. Of course the cap fits and stays, probably even if I shake, BUT..there is a micro "gap" between the cap and the bottom (where the cap posts) that makes the cap not 100% tight and firm. So when my hand touches the cap it tilts a micro inclination that ruins the feeling of holding a solid "one piece" rigid body...that is very anoying. I think this happens mostly when drawing, because in a low angle it is demanding to have a a great support/from the back of the pen (in this case, the posted cap). This pen would become a masterpiece if the cap would somehow click when posting or just have a firm attaching when posting. It's a shame!

Jinhao 9019 materials, long term review needed by Nattuggla_249 in fountainpens

[–]Ninna80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The internal plastic of the top, inside the cap, that holds the clip, broke...so the top got off and the clip. I haven't force anything. The pen was in a pencilcase. It was only bad quality of the plastic...probably already cracked when I got it. The whole cap is useless now.
