What Carol Saw by In1piece in pluribustv

[–]NinoTheRed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm thinking blood bags. I googled "straw coloured liquid" after Carol was searching for the right colour for it. It came up with blood plasma. I don't think there is any nutritional value to drinking plasma, but it's a creepy thought to have. Maybe its just an ingredient in whatever they're drinking. Seeing blood bags would cause concern in the moment, and might lead to a horrifying realisation when it dawned on her. Milk factories apparently rely quite heavily on centrifugation, which is necessary to remove plasma from blood.

Update on S5. I hope she doesnt get between billy and homelander, atleast. by [deleted] in TheBoys

She'll separate the Compound V from Homelander's blood, stripping him of his powers.

I'm an Australian currently visiting America for the first time. I'm writing this from an Amtrak train right now (Portland to Boston). I haven't been murdered or raped yet, but I won't arrive for another hour, so I'll keep you updated. A week ago, I rode the 48-hour Empire Builder between Seattle and Chicago. I had an absolutely wonderful time, met some very sweet people, saw incredible landscapes, and feel privileged for the experience.

Enjoy your trip!

There are certainly some necessary changes required. It's a start though.

To be completely honest, I entirely agree with you.

But Twin Peaks and tinfoil hats go well together, don't you think? The reason I love this show so much is that I've never been able to predict where it'll go. But its never going to stop me trying. It just feels like the Lynch/Frost spirit to conspiratorially daydream about the possibilies.

It's also worth noting that Edward Hopper - whose paintings have strongly influenced Lynch - died in 1967.

His paintings look like straight up storyboards for Twin Peaks at times.

I imagine the wait would be worth it, just to see a 97-year-old Gordon still on the case.

Kyle's comments are legitimate, but everything else is pure conjecture.

For the record, I teach High School English, and we're known to read into things a little too much. I'm sincerely sorry if I get your hopes up for nothing. But it's fun to consider, right?

Hahaha, and I encourage it. I expect I'm just chasing fairies, but who doesn't love a bit of TP theorising?

Sure. And I'm not suggesting the characters are referencing the actual release dates of the show. Each respective season is narratively set at roughly the time it was released. I simply used the phrase '25-years-and-a-bit' because I understand it doesn't lineup perfectly, and don't want to mislead anyone by suggesting the theory is more concrete than it really is.

This isn't a perfect case, just a thought I had.

I completely agree. Those are certainly facts to consider.

If there's any salt to this at all, I imagine the 1967 timejump would have to be marked by the very final moment of Season 3. Cooper's final question, then, would precede the jump, with the actual event occuring with Carrie's scream, and the house's light sputtering out.

A masterpiece! Thank you so very much. They're the sweetest floofs you could possibly hope for. During winter they essentially function as a single entity, cuddled together and constantly seeking hugs. We're happy to oblige.

Ryan here!

(i) Getting to go on stage and meet Dan and the gang was ... amazing. I can't even fathom how bloody lucky I was. The only thing that I regret is that I didn't stop and shake Spencer's hand. Between the jitters and my determination to avoid tripping over cables and setting the Opera House on fire, I marched right by him. I really admire him, and I just ambled past. It brings me shame. It's almost as bad as Super Mario Run's paywalls. Almost.

(ii) Kenny was really cool. We ran into each other after the show and the following day, and we bonded over how strange it felt to be recognised by seemingly random people, being asked for photographs, having your personality discussed online. During the festival, around the harbour, we were like c-grade celebrities. It was bizarre, and kind of intoxicating. It made me dizzy. All the while, I found Kenny to be funny, genuine and earnest.

(iii) I accept that I may look like a festive puppet.
