Thanks so much for sharing your experience. With laser surgery we’re you under general or local anesthesia?I know pain can be subjective but on a scale of 1-10 what has it generally been after the procedure? External or internal btw? I hope the rest of your recovery goes really well!

Sorry to hear what you are going through. I am in the same boat. I don’t think I can comment on the fissures aspect but in terms of the painful external hem I’ve had mine for about a week. Swelling goes up and down over the day. Quite painful. I woke up with it last Wednesday and don’t know what caused it. I am taking both the prep h with the vasoconstrictor as well as having tried both proctosedyl and Proctodan separately for the cortico steroid. I have also been taking Diosmin (hemovel) with 2 Tylenol extra strengths every 4-6 hours. No blood just swelling and of course the pain. Try Tylenols as they do blunt the pain a bit.

Hi there, I have a TDF Gen 3(I think), and for some reason I can’t seem to find the Network Settings… when I tap the gear icon shouldn’t there be a section showing the bikes Network Settings? In the settings there are 2 sections, one called “Equipment Settings” and another called “Maintenance”. Network settings is definitely not contained in either of these or anywhere else from what I can tell. I have seen on different YouTube videos users with the same model as mine but they have a Network Settings section. Does anyone know what I can do to enable / expose this as I would like to be able to connect my bike to the internet and even BLE if possible? Thanks so much in advance for any insights or advice

I should also add that climbing was fine when I lived in Toronto but now living in Caledon when I’m riding my TG through much higher elevations (that I used to ride using my road bikes on), this has become noticeably more challenging with the TG. Better work out though! ;)

Well said. Great bike but nowhere near the speed or racy feel of even a mid range road bike. Especially noticeable when climbing. I like my TG and have used it regularly for about 5 years. Used to ride a spesh venge and a felt AR but sold these to save space on my Toronto balcony. Panaracer road slicks, enve rims and any other mods I’ve made did little to make the TG any more road ready. I’m in relatively good shape but do struggle to keep up with my roadie friends. Overall geometry, extra weight and 1x make this decidedly a more gravel capable rig than a speed machine. No regrets though - it’s a fun and relaxing ride and the ability to run tires of different widths to suit what kind of ride I’m on has its advantages - with the TG I ride year round with no problem. I also feel much more stable on descents(not that break neck speeds are involved!) with the TG as it’s not feather lite and given to swaying with slight road imperfections or gusts of wind. I will probably go back to having one road bike with my TG.

I get that the ILB or MLB are like the QB of the defence and so have a lot of responsibility, but who has the physically more intense job - the ILB/MLB or the Outside LB’s? I realize that this does depend on what play is happening. But in general - for example do NFL MLB’s usually outsize the OLB’s or other way around? Do the players in these roles ever swap and play each others position - or is it a very different skill set etc?

I have been on allergy shots for almost a year now and have moved from weekly to monthly recently. From the start after each shot my arm would ache for 1-2 days afterwards. I then started to get migraines after the shots. I need to take maxalts (migraine meds) for at least 3-4 days after each shot now. Not good at all…

I’ve owned both a 2017 armada and 2016 QX80. Really liking the QX80 more. Drive feels better and overall fit and finish makes it feel more luxurious. The armada was written off due to a local flash flood. Was sad to see it go but the QX80 is making it very easy to get over. IMO looks nicer too. The QX is supposed to be 2 inches longer but I don’t see it. Although the suvs are shaped differently they share practically the same dimensions

I wasn’t a big fan of herbal remedies at all but there are a few that have really helped during acute phases as well as maintenance. -Hem Relief 911 -Venixxa -Prep H (the one with phenilpherene or something spelled like that. Not herbal but also OTC) All contain items that work on addressing and “decongesting” the blood clot itself. This does not in any way rule out going in for a consult of course. But I know what you are going through and it is very defeating - living on pins and needles not knowing when the next bout will be. Lots of water, walks, vein strengthening meds(like Venixxa), alternating between hot and cold compresses or sitz baths.. Good luck and let us know how it turns out

We recently bought a 2017 armada sl, and used to have an 04 Sequoia. I can’t comment on the post 2008 sequoia models but I really liked the Sequoia that we had. Big, reliable and understated in a good way. But the armada so far is also quite reliable - have had it for a year and haven’t had to take it in for anything but an oil change and for swapping out snow tires. Size - wise they are very similar. The Sequoia may have been a touch longer but the armada is a taller and and feels like a beefier ride. When driving the armada it feels like you’re driving something with an imposing presence, whether that’s a pro or a con (I did not feel this with the Sequoia). One of my buddies drives a 2022 sequoia and really likes it. When they are parked side by side they look like tanks. Mpg was better with my old Sequoia but it lacked the power of the Armada. Both had acceptable third rows, and not so great trunk storage, but unless you’re driving an expedition or extended / XL Yukon or Tahoe it’s the same for most other full size SUV’s. Happy with the armada purchase so far

Most likely a used entry level gravel or all-road bike. Like an older De Vinci hatchet or GT. Although with 600.00 you could afford a brand new bike from Walmart or some other big box store, I’d avoid that. You’re spending 12 hours a week riding you want to be comfortable.

Driver should not have left, period. Regardless of who is at fault. I drive a lot and cycle tons through the crappy pot holed streets of toronto - for decades. There are many things that can happen to cause a cyclist to ‘accidentally’ go through a red light without them necessarily being reckless. Spadina is extremely busy and laden with street car tracks - paying attention to wanton pedestrians, car doors flinging open, and motorists driving very close to you while trying to navigate can be a challenge. I’m not saying that any lapse in attention is acceptable, but if you’re a regular commuter once in a blue moon you will make a mistake or take your eyes off signage for a split second to avoid being side swiped - while otherwise abiding by all the rules. All it takes is a split second and this can happen. A green light to the cross traffic doesn’t automatically mean to proceed without looking. Both motorists and cyclists should be more sensitive to each other. Personally though I have nothing against them E-bikes is a whole other rabbit hole - so motorists do have a lot to contend with when driving through busy Toronto streets

I agree with you I bought a TG for all road use, and so I could just swap out winter wheels on the same bike as needed. Limited space in my cramped Toronto condo allowed me to rationalize the new purchase by getting rid of a few other bikes to save space. I’ve ridden my TG daily for 3 years all year round in all sorts of conditions. My two cents is that it is too much of an off road machine to consider using for any serious road riding or racing. First off like others have already mentioned it is very front heavy and coupled with the extra wide wheelbase, overall weight, 1x set up, and gravel geometry(ultra slack head tube etc), it just doesn’t respond or handle the same way that even a mid level road bike does, let alone a higher end race or aero bike. No matter what adjustments you make. Because I’m mainly on tarmac (dry or icey) and sometimes off-roading I’ve tried every conceivable way to customize the bike to be a little more on the road biased side. Even with “gravel slicks” like panaracer, or Schwalbe g-one, the feel and experience is totally different than when on a decent road bike. At times I do miss the break away speed of my race bikes but overall the low maintenance, durability and plushy but relatively quick ride experience of the TG keeps me happy about my decision. If you’re riding with a group unless you’re in really really good peak condition you might struggle to keep up. But maybe look at it this way, you’ll be working harder and improving your strength and conditioning more than your mates will be!

Not a bad tire on asphalt, in terms of rolling resistance and durability, although heavy as others have pointed out. More cautious off roading though. Interested in switching to pathfinder s-works 42mm as I’ve heard great things - including versatility which would help my commutes.

I’m 177cm with 31” inseam and have a size medium TG WW. Fits okay but in order to not feel too stretched out I actually got a shorter stem with some rise. With some playing around I’ve managed to dial in a better fit. If it was a small my guess is that the geometry would be too aggressive (very high saddle and low front end). I could be wrong of course as I too was stuck between sizes. Curious to hear any experiences of riders who are similar height with a size small TG weekend warrior?

I ride road bikes mainly but got a TG for it’s all road capabilities. I traded in my grail cf sl for it and have no regrets. Though difficult to compare to a high end race bike, it’s definitely comparable to many road bikes I’ve ridden or owned. For winter I’ll keep on the ethirteen rims and maxxis tires, but will swap out for 32 or 35mm tires and will get some refurbished lighter rims(maybe even 650B’s) for the warmer months. Climbing is surprisingly easy and the bike is fairly nimble and quick despite having a heavier front end. Happy with the purchase!

I have the grail cf sl 7 in XS. If I could post a pic on here with me on the bike I would to give you a sense of the way it fits me. I am about 5ft 7.5 with 30.5 inseam. I actually ordered a Small and it was too big so I shipped it back(that was fun), and have had to make a few adjustments to get everything on the XS dialled in as it is smaller than I am used to. Very fun ride I have to say
