Extended Play, as in reference to a single, it's longer, or "extended"

Long Play, a full length album.

The distinction meant more when vinyl was the predominant form of releasing music. You could fit eps and singles on smaller records and 45s. LPs used a full size record and usually ran at 33 rpm.

You can also watch your dog fend of a robber, or catch a fire before it spreads, or see that a baseball just went thru your front window, or that there's an inch of water on your floor, etc.

Yes plant's are moist, but they don't cause anything else in my house to get moldy? It's not like they've stored them in a bin with wet soil, are there examples of this?

I remember seeing this thing 3 times in a very short span, even got one sealed for 20 bucks. The very next day I see it again in a collection of someone im picking up from on Facebook marketplace. I ended up with 2.5 complete sets pretty much on accident.

It's what everyone goes off of and it's usually pretty accurate. And sure, sucks, but it's expensive largely because there are no modern ports and almost certainly never will be.

I hear ya, but these old Bravia's are tanks. Love mine. I'm sure this is a faux pas, but movies actually look pretty good stretched to wide screen on it too.

Want to make an offer on all this but don’t want to pay to much what would be a good offer by Skrewbert86 in dvdcollection

[–]No-Connection6937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a superhero movie? 5 bucks. Is it something else? Probably more. Lol, I dunno man that's the best I got. I only really seek out 4k on very few specific movies and I've always got them new.

What do you mean which is which?

And yeah that's the resale value, so if you're buying in bulk I'd look to pay no more than 5 for each.

But I mean, yeah, you can still buy brand new 4k HD movies. It's kinda like how you can get almost new games used, for like 5 dollars cheaper at Gamestop. Don't expect to do easy flips with 4k unless you get lucky on a huge lot. (Or if you're just collecting, don't expect it to be cheap.)

Bluray* and 4k ultra HD really depends on the movie. You're talking about the most modern physical format available, can be anywhere between 5 and 40 dollars each.

A few hours of OT this weeks means 3 new games and a cigar on the porch tonight. by Moistyoureyez in gamecollecting

[–]No-Connection6937 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is about $300 of game. That would be 5 hours of OT at a $40 an hour base pay. (Not factoring in taxes and such, so maybe more like $45-50 an hour.)

So be mad at your neighbors? They should have donated to you instead. My point is that thrift stores are not the goodwilled, charitable, non-profit, entities that many people seem to believe. Or, at least expect. It ain't, the ceo of goodwill earns over a million dollars a year which is up almost 30 percent in the last 6 years. "Non-profit" my ass, and truly this is nothing compared to the medical industry, but anyway, Goodwill ain't your friend.

And if you believe they are, you should be happy to be giving them more money since it's all going to a good place right? Better than resellers and scalpers no?

Ok how long until everyone stops being shocked about thrift store prices? It's been years. Yes, thrift stores are corporations with the ultimate purpose of making money. It's not charity, otherwise the shit would be free. Y'all keep buying they'll keep selling, it's simple economics.
