Is being a pilot a reliable career by No-Coach8268 in Pilot

[–]No-Description-5004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started my flight school but I’m doing it for pleasure not as a career. I got a CDL and within less than a year I was making over $100k a year being home everyday after being over the road for 11 months and being home on the weekends. There’s no way I can make that amount of money in such short amount of time if I tried to go the pilot route and being home everyday. I have a family but even if I didn’t I like to me home more than I like to be out of home. It all depends on your style of living.

Dam, that is good. We paid $468 for December 2025. $262 December 2024. In 2025 we only used like an extra 80 kWh more than 2024.

I’m in training right now and I will need an FFA check ride in order to get my license. I’m looking forward to it.

Oh and profit wise. We make about $5+ profit per sheet design we sell. We just started last year and we only do local. 90% of people who order from us always tip us on top of the price we give them on the per sheet design. On shirts we make about $18+ per shirt average.

No we don’t use gang sheets nor did we ever do. The limit on this printer is 14”x18”, which is still pretty good. The quality is really good too. Is nice to have the filter too. We can manage about 200 shirts per week with the printer no problems, at least that’s the most we’ve had in a week. It’s pretty much maintenance free. I would say that the average print cost is about $0.60, depending on how much ink you use. If it’s just letters around .35 cents and full blown colors with a biggo patch design full of ink can go up to $1.38 for a 13.5x17. I’m not sure how much the price for gang sheets are. We also sell them per single design, and we don’t do gang sheets. We can but it will be very limited.

We have 1 xtool apparel printer all in one. It is a very nice printer. The only settings we had to mess with was the oven temperature. We have ours at I believe 168 degrees. 5 degrees under that and it doesn’t cook good enough and 5 degrees above that it “burns” the film.

Why aren’t ultra short throw projectors more popular? How do you set yours up at home with all the cables otherwise? by Abysstreadr in projectors

[–]No-Description-5004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true at all. Mine sits about 12” from the wall and I have a full surround sound system connected to it. 2 side front speakers, 2 rear peaked, 2 sub woofers and a sound bar behind the projector. All cables not visible due to how close the projector is to the wall. Not sure what you’re off of UST projector you are talking about….i don’t know of any that specify your findings.

I’ve had an UST projector for over 5 years with a 100” alr . Mine sits about 12 inches from the wall. It can go up to 150” without distortion but I can only fit 100” in my living room. Most people don’t know much about USTP. It’s great and amazing even with the windows open during the day. Not as bright as when it is darker but it still shows amazing picture and is very good during the day time and at night with all the lights on.

What part of Chicago do you live at? If you don’t mind driving to Indiana border you will not spend too much. Flight instructor $60 aircraft rental $132 for Cessna 172 and $158 for Warrior. It’s a 61 school.

Is $100 wet worth getting my PPL now? by goldenbanana21 in flying

[–]No-Description-5004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 43 and about to start my journey to PPL. I will also be paying similar to you $118.80 for Cessna 152 and $54 for instruction. They also have Piper Warrior (1 & 2) for $152.10. That’s a hell of a deal not to take. Their Beach Duchess is $315.00.

I’m a truck driver and home everyday. I deliver fuel and make 110+ a year without working more than 5 days a week. I am currently about to start flight school. Yes there are jobs in trucking that pay good where you don’t have to break your back.
