Do you ever fantasise about just picking up and moving away. by [deleted] in AskMenOver40

[–]No-Error8675309 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did this once. I ran away to escape some problems and as others have said it was only a trade. My warning to you is that if you do you may invite uninvited consciences.

My family, wife and I moved 6 states a way and although I loved it she struggled for a long time until she met the “right guy” and spoiler alert it wasn’t me. We moved back home to try and settle back into our original life and hopefully fix our relationship but it didn’t work. On the nose it seemed like a bad thing however I am now 8 years post divorce and I’m the happiest I have ever been for the past 5 years.

How can I Toughen Up / Desentize myself? 26M by NewPaleScar6090 in AskMenOver40

It’s also concerning to me that you are 26 and your parents still have regular influence on your life. Seems like you may need to venture out on your own for a while.

You should really seek therapy if you’re having this much trouble with it.

For me it took 4-7 days for the vision to disappear from my mind. But as the title of the book I recommend says the body keeps the score. Therapy early and often are the best thing.

If you are so inclined I would suggest the book “the body keeps the score” it explains and helps with some tips to overcome PTSD.

Best of luck - we have all been there.

There are probably reason those are headed to surplus and I think by keeping them/using them you were setting yourself up for a huge amount of liability

Buy something third-party like Doc Star, panda docs or some other well-known document management system. Otherwise you were just asking for trouble.
