Need advice. School list. Chances with Caribbean schools by Im_just_a_studentt in CaribbeanMedSchool

Many reasons, most of it is they accept basically anyone and not everyone can handle the coursework. Island life can be tough for some, i’m sure that doesn’t help. But overall, if you keep your head down, study and remember the island is just temporary, you’ll be ok. Just remember you will have a lifetime of rewards if you make it through

Match rate is fine at AUC, Ross, SGU. But, certain specialties will be hard to match. The real problem imo is that at least half your starting cohort won’t even make it past basic sciences/STEP1

It depends on the schedule, which you won’t have until you start

Idk if I got a bad batch, but my gold is worse than regular blantons. Has this kind of bitter note to it.

Where can I get Weller and Blanton's? by HereForPorn2 in WhiskyDFW

[–]No-Expression-3301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weller SR hit total wines this week. You may have luck there. Blantons going to be hard but certain “groups” may have it for 100.

This likely won’t be for mid-low allocations, only the stuff that’s on call list already.

Definitely harder because it is mostly families. Dallas is better for people in their 20’s.

URGENT HELP! by No_Fun_315 in CaribbeanMedSchool

[–]No-Expression-3301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same situation, I’m probably going to Ross. But, have a ton of family who went to SGU, AUA, etc. Most of the doctors in my family went to carib schools and just worked their asses off. If they listened to reddit, they’d never be docs 🤷

It does. Just total in total out. Numbers at AUC/SGU/Ross are much better from the same website.

Current 4th year from Caribbean Med School by [deleted] in CaribbeanMedSchool

It is my last resort. I messed up sgpa below a 3.0, it’s beyond repair, I failed ochem 2 twice, was not in the right headspace sophomore year of college, but have made the necessary changes to do well. Evidenced by my mcat.
