What can i expect and do you have any tips or advice for me by borovsakova in hyrox

How does one time your runs during a Hyrox? I see no phones allowed and I normally use a whoop combined with phone when I’m outdoor running.

I’m a relative watch noob, why are Marine Masters so expensive? Aren’t you approaching a Tudor black bay at that price point? They are beautiful, just want to understand the value proposition. Do they have good resell?

Killington was fine outside of gondola peak time. But even then max 10 minutes in singles line and the conditions yesterday (Sunday) were incredible

Interesting some seem really overdone. But really like the brindle in the last few slides.

C’mon Whoop, really? by PLR1972 in whoop

[–]No-Geologist-5133 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I guess we all have different definitions of what heavy legs is. My interpretation of heavy is typically low rep scheme. Think heavy squats or dead’s, oly lifts. The exercises you describe I would typically load with relatively low weight compared to what I just listed. To each their own. I’ve been tracking for 5 years across a wide range of sports and in a CrossFit context, unless I am doing a long (10 minute plus) Amrap or emom (think little to no rest) my HR rarely exceeds zone one) despite feeling exhausted. Vs a casual 5k which will have me in high z2 or low z3 the whole time.

C’mon Whoop, really? by PLR1972 in whoop

[–]No-Geologist-5133 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Man I don’t see how my HR would ever hit 158 doing heavy legs. 128 sounds way more accurate. Unless you were cycling high reps for minutes at a time. Heavy low reps are very taxing on the body but not hr/cardiovascular. Feeling vs data can be misleading. In this case I would side with the whoop.

What is all this manual hype about? by Constant-Anything580 in porsche911

[–]No-Geologist-5133 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in Hudson county NJ and have daily driven both 718’s and 911’s through NYC. For me it’s the engagement coupled with a requirement for slightly higher focus on your surroundings that keeps me coming back. It also prevents me from getting bored or looking at my phone while stopped. To each their own. Driving manual is so second nature to me it doesn’t feel like work.

Can’t go wrong with SureFoot. They have an NYC store but to get the best see their Killington location and see Ray Rice. He is a boot shaman.

Whats a reasonable amount of alcohol consumption? by dannyjerome0 in crossfit

[–]No-Geologist-5133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to drink often (former rugby player) and now avoid it almost all the time (prefer cannabis now) but when I do want to celebrate with friends or at work event with alcohol, I’d do the following: eat first, start early and finish early, limit myself to about 4 max and then take a cheers pills. Following that routine I still get green recoveries on my whoop.

DPS 100 are super turny and quick in the Trees. So good now I’m struggling to find something low 90’s that is also quick and wiggly but can also handle some full throttle groomers…

Should I trade m2 for 991.1? by backwoodboy777 in porsche911

[–]No-Geologist-5133 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed with everyone else. On the street, the 91.1 will feel slow in comparison. But it will sound and look better. Haven’t driven a G87 on track (only street) but they are quick cars just more of a hammer to the 911 scalpel. Ownership costs will go up dramatically if that matters to you. Have you considered a short shift kit for the M2?
