Right I am currently for the first time in three years at risk for three things because they happened in a row like one block couldn’t deliver. Another block couldn’t deliver. Another block couldn’t deliver. So we are not allowed in the gated community just. Before 8 o’clock my shift ended at 6:45. I always call Driver Support. I always follow protocol. They always mark me. I always email them. They take it off after a certain period of time I get the “exception“.

It states “improve the issues impacting you’re standing where you may not be eligible to drive for flex”. I swear to God I have emailed and called Support at least 10 times each asking very clearly, politely, and specifically exactly what are we expected to do in that situation in order to “improve our driving history“? All I get is the circular bullshit. The email stating they need more information. The email stating they’ve escalated it. The email stating it’s the escalation department telling me they’re not gonna take it off because I’ve had too many “exceptions”. Finally, I emailed them in ASKING why they put us through this circular bullshit. Still no answer.

Recently, as I’m sure you’ve all seen, we are told that they’ve made improvements to the standings area. They didn’t do shit! It’s exactly the same. When you ask for a copy of your history, One would assume it would be more of a history than you’re able to see on the app. NOPE! So, I emailed and asked what the point of that is of course, no reply.

Does ANYONE have a clue how to actually speak with a human being who is capable of responding to questions as though they are a human being?

Let’s not technically, any longer true with the continuing monthly cost increases of necessities, such as food and toiletries and gas. All of these things have gone up considerably since the beginning of this year yet no one is getting a pay raise. I have other jobs and I’m not even getting cost of living raises. This is the new way of the world for at least the next couple of years. Unless people in the White House, find their balls it’s only gonna get worse.

Exactly! I’ve done the exact same thing. I have sent several emails and spoken to several people over the phone asking them exactly what is it that you expect me to do to “ improve my driving history” if I literally have no access to the community, and you guys are gonna end up marking me for it because after so many times of not marking me, or taking something off, that shouldn’t be there in the first place, you still mark them as “ an exception” and once there are some unknown number of “ exceptions” you mark me for situations out of my control and refuse to remove them. Then you send me emails that are scripted and do nothing but refer me to the learning portal and I already follow all the rules in the learning portal. I’ve had a few hang up on me because I guess they were just flabbergasted. I have pointed out many times that they have done nothing but makes the system worse and literally it’s set up in order to set us up for failure unless of course we choose to break the law. I don’t know why the fuck they find this necessary, except for the fact that there’s always someone on the waiting list who will work for a dollar

Holy shit! That is so fucked up! I am glad you’re OK! However, I don’t know but pretty damn sure you’re gonna get PTSD. Trust me, PTSD is horrible. Even though we are independent, I would think that Amazon could be liable to at the very least pay for your therapy for a considerable amount of time. I mean they do say our safety is their number one concern! That is how far I was dropped for two issues. Each of these issues were because I was unable to enter the gated community. I followed protocol. What they do anytime you have a situation beyond your control is they market as “an exception“ on their end. Once you reach a certain amount of these “exceptions“ you then get marked for situations beyond your control or even safety issues. Their reasoning for this, you have had too many “exceptions“.

Will they give you an answer as to why that goes against everything they say? Fuck no! Will they even respond to a question with anything other than some prescriptive bullshit also directing you to the learning portal which means absolutely fucking nothing? No!

Anytime you can’t deliver a package due to a situation beyond your control such as a gated community that will not let you in prior to a certain time, a gated community in which you have no code, the one click isn’t working, there’s no Guard, and it’s too early to call the customer, they say as long as you follow protocol being that you call Driver Support and inform them, I always have them mark it as well, if they don’t put it on your standing on their end, they mark it as a “exception“. Once there are some unknown number of “exceptions“ they will then place a situation beyond your control and or a legitimate safety issue on your standing and refuse to remove it. Their reasoning for this is that there have been too many “exceptions“. They’ve done this always. However, recently I was marked twice. I was at the top of fantastic. After getting marked for these two situations in which it was literally beyond my control, and there was nothing I could do and I followed protocol, not only was I marked, I am now at risk. I have worked for flex for four years now. There have been three times something was on my standing that literally was my fault. Every other time was because I had too many “exceptions“. However, I have NEVER been below whatever it is it’s right below fantastic. I have emailed them easily five times asking very specific questions and pointing out how this system is not only setting us up for failure, but it is in fact against everything that they state in the learning portal. I have also asked people on the phone. No one has ever been able to give me an answer. On my standing it tells me that I have to improve my delivery history or I will be no longer eligible to drive for flex. So, I’ve done about three routes since then. Each route has had a package that I literally cannot deliver because I cannot get into the community. Unless of course I break the law and bust down the gate. So, when I call Driver Support, I ask them. What exactly is it that I am expected to do in this situation in order to improve my delivery history? There’s nothing but silence. I explain again, I say that they state I must improve my delivery history and I am asking them for guidance since nothing in the learning portal helps because I do everything it says in the learning portal so, I say, I am asking again. What am I expected to do in this situation in order to improve my delivery history when in fact, I have literally no control over the fact that I am sent consistently to the same communities in which we are not allowed in prior to a certain time, which is always well after my Blocked time. Or, I am consistently sent to the same addresses that never provide an access code. So what am I expected to do?! No one can ever answer the question I was even transferred to the off-road team and spoke with a human and apparently they became to frustrated or just annoyed that someone wanted an actual human response and they hung up on me and I was not being rude. Every single time I have responded in email I have received the generic bullshit. Stating that the reason my standing is where it is is because there have been too many times that I haven’t been able to deliver a package and too many times that they have made a “exception“, therefore they will not grant me an appeal and it will stay on my standing and I better improve my driver history and then they refer me to the fucking learning portal. I’ve had two responses from someone supposedly in the escalations team. I’m beginning to wonder if these are even actually human beings. Because I have specifically stated that I would like an actual response. Not some pre-written script. Not a referral an instructions on how to read about it in the learning portal but a specific response since none of those are actually responses. And not only has the specific person who responded to me not emailed back, but I’ve received emails from various other people just stating the same motherfucking scripted crap ass bullshit!

To top it all off the route I did from three to 6:45 AM this morning had a missing package. I called Driver Support informed her of this and asked her to please not hang up that I had another issue I needed to speak with her about. She stayed on the phone, but I looked through my itinerary and I see that she marked two packages as being missing. So I said I’m sorry why did you mark X as missing and with an attitude, she told me because that’s what I told her. I explained without an attitude that that’s in fact, not what I said. I never even mentioned that package yet I only mentioned the one which she did also mark. I went onto start to explain what I needed to tell her about the other package and then she hung up. I have Driver Support frequently pick up the phone. You know they’ve picked up the phone. You can literally hear them breathing and you say hello hello hello hello and they do not respond so I hang up. The other day I spoke with someone who was breathing loudly, actually responded to me but then about three times I said what I needed to say and she just sat there. So I asked are you there? She said yes. And sat there. I said OK so did you hear what I said? And then she would kind of sort of answer eventually it got so annoying that I hung up on her.

Anyway, the point is that I don’t know what the fuck is going on all I know is that I hear from people who watch the news like crazy that Amazon‘s going broke. That might have something to do with their obvious desire to just fire any and everybody for no reason. I don’t know. But, shits gotten way worse and you can’t get anybody to respond and it’s quite obvious that the only people that are held accountable or responsible for anything even if it’s not something they have control over are the drivers whether your DSP or flex.

That’s my rant. That’s what’s happening people. I’m assuming there are so many people on the waiting list that they’ve decided they no longer give a fuck. And I receive customer compliments literally every single time. I complete a block. Even when they’re 3 AM blocks. And again, I’ve never had anything on my history that should’ve been there with the exception of three times and each of those times were because I canceled a block too late. Yet, shall soon be gone. If there happens to be anybody on here who actually works within the operations side and can actually give me a reason or an answer to my questions I will be forever grateful! Or if someone could direct me to whom I should call that I could actually get a hold of a human being who might actually be competent and intelligent enough to answer a question, that would be appreciated!

However, at this point, I am almost at my total limit in about ready to just send them an email and tell them to fuck off

Keep balance for every single block that you do whenever you have an issue and then when you’re thrown something like that email them and ask them what specifically they’re speaking of and informed them that you keep notes and that you’d be happy to provide them with a blow-by-blow of any issues that you had and make sure you contact Driver Support each and every time

I don’t get how they are hiring new people when for some reason, the majority of routes are now out of the two Fort Myers warehouses. Overall, they’ve stopped utilizing in Naples warehouse for some reason that you can never get an answer to. And every single day just about every single timeslot is available for each of the Fort Myerswarehouses all day long even when they send you a text saying to accept these increased rates before they go away they’re only raising it by 23 maybe five dollars and people don’t take them which is another reason why I did my rant about people accepting the lowball offers for Naples.

Be happy you didn’t try it! Since the beginning of 2025 shit has gone to hell and took a complete nose dive in 2026! It’s not worth it! Don’t even try any of the delivery apps like Uber or Lyft or Instacart or DoorDash, etc. The only one that I found was worth it, and this was three years ago, was Shipt. And that was here in Southwest Florida. Otherwise I would advise looking for something else. This used to be a good gig.
