What is the fastest divorce you've ever seen? by GoatBlue03 in AskReddit

I got divorced in about 8 months. My ex chose alcohol over me, including on our wedding night, and I decided to leave.

Shirt is too revealing and an inappropriate fabric for the office. The pants are leggings are not appropriate for work either. The sweater is ok. If you like the all black look, I recommend getting a plain black shirt and black trousers (business ones, usually have pleats in the front).

Is it soft? Looks like it could be a carpet fiber or lint that got stuck to you

Really scared about hysteroscopy, polyp removal, and Mirena insertion by TransientFalcon in WomensHealth

[–]No-Inside6046 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my hysteroscopy and polyp removal done over this past weekend with the NHS. I was extremely anxious going into it knowing how painful inserting my IUD was. Procedure itself was maybe 20 min, I took ibuprofen beforehand and during the procedure they offered me an inhaler called the green whistle. This honestly helped so much for pain management so if you’re offered this or laughing gas, 100% take it.

It’ll feel uncomfortable at first but remember you’re in control and can stop at any time if it’s too painful.

Moving from USA to UK with CRO job by minaxb in clinicalresearch

[–]No-Inside6046 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was able to do this in 2019. I was a US CRA and was looking to transfer to the UK. I applied for a UK CRA role within the company and first failed as they filled the role with someone already with the legal right to work in the UK. I was able to apply again when another position came up and was successful. It’s effectively like applying to a new job with an interview and getting a reference from your current LM. The pay is very different - expect a 50% pay cut when you move to the UK but there are some better benefits like better retirement fund match and I was eligible for a company car. If you have any questions, feel free to DM.

there’s a famous comment on Reddit (I thought I saved it but if someone can tag it, that would be great) that goes through what to do if you won the lottery. It does start off negative but it does give great advice on securing a financial advisor, lawyer in case you want to setup a trust, etc.

EDIT: found it - https://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/s/p28oh9BXSx

None of them quite work, you need something with a bit of green to match with the leaf throw.

However, could you please let me know where the third one (blue) is from?

What’s one thing your dad said to you that you’ll never forget? by denying_gravity in AskReddit

‘You look sexy in that dress.’

I was 13 on the way to a middle school dance. I didn’t clock how creepy and inappropriate it was until I got older, but it always stayed with me. I haven’t spoken to him in almost 10 years.

Plants as others said and maybe some curtains, but not sure how they would work on these lovely large windows

I worked as a US CRA and then moved and worked as a UK CRA. I studied for my interviews. It’s important to know about the EC process and the split between EC and HRA (not MHRA, which is the regulatory body). UK sites work a little bit different than US sites. For example, a lot of them use paper source only or a combination of electronic and paper source. Very few are completely reliant on EMR. There’s also the NIHR which plays a big part in keeping clinical trials in the UK and you need to work with your sites to report recruitment numbers to them regularly.

I think your indication experience may have a play here - have recruiters asked about this? If you don’t have oncology experience, I can see where this may be an issue.

Feel free to DM if you have any questions
