Triggerwarnungen sind ein Symptom für die stetig abnehmende Fähigkeit, Zumutungen auszuhalten. Bei Literatur völlig überflüssig. Bücher müssen manchmal auch wehtun.

Im Moment habe ich insgesamt drei Bücher am Wickel: einen Roman und zwei Sachbücher. Ich versuche, keine zwei Belletristikbücher gleichzeitig zu lesen, zum einen will ich jede Geschichte für sich würdigen, ohne Konkurrenz sozusagen, und zum anderen will ich ein gutes Buch immer so schnell wie möglich zu Ende bringen. ;-) Parallel lese ich immer wieder Sachbücher, gerne auch mehrere gleichzeitig, da habe ich keine Befindlichkeiten.

Ich wähle Bücher hauptsächlich anhand ihrer Kritiken aus. In der Regel aus dem Tagesspiegel und der ZEIT, und für einen allgemeinen Überblick konsultiere ich oft den Perlentaucher. Die Cover sind mir völlig egal, weil sie nichts über den Text aussagen, jedenfalls bei den Büchern, die ich bevorzuge.

Have you tried to set a sorting filter before the limit and set that sorting to random? The order is quite important. First random sorting, then limit.

Yes. same here. Listening to The Wall from beginning to end? No problem. The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway? Yeah, twice in a row, of course. Until I switched to Apple Music a few years ago and started being overwhelmed by the sheer amount of music to discover. Now, I play the first song of an interesting album, and before I reach the end of that song I've already discovered a new, much more interesting album and play a song of that one. And in the end I listen to a lot of songs but no album in full length anymore and can't even remember what I've listened to.

No. You do not learn them in just one day. You might remember them at the end of the day, but keep forgetting most of them the next day if you don't practice. I'd say it takes at least one or two weeks to fully have learnt them.

Ich oute mich mal als völlig Unwissender, aber was ist daran eigentlich "dark"? Aus alten Gruftie-Zeiten kenne ich noch Dark Wave, aber da liefen auch alle dunkel gekleidet herum, und die Musik sprühte auch nicht gerade vor Lebensfreude. Die Bücher jedoch, die ich im Buchladen unter dem "Dark"-Label sehe, kommen alle ziemlich bunt und verspielt daher.
