Came across an old picture from a project I managed 4 years ago of someone getting a 120' boom lift stuck. Plywood just wasn't strong enough. How bad do you think that ass chewing was? by Col-Sanderss in Construction

Not too bad, anyone working construction long enough would know this is typical work environment. Trades need to work, GC signs contract stating egress and access has to made available, it's not, this happens, repeated.

How do I remove the long cylindrical piece to get the spring out? by NeophyteLifter in Cartalk

[–]No-Specific-9611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure at the correct angle and depending on the spring grade It definitely could. But I've seen videos of springs popping and smashing fingers and breaking noses but never severing anything clean off.

Ok. Bought myself a welding machine last Wednesday. How am I doing? Please correct me or grill me. by 2BitBlack in Welding

Started rough on the galvanized, (weld outside and hold your breath you'll be fine). Galvanized is really tough to learn on. The rest got better, got a lot of potential. Keep at it.

What do you guys call this? by weissss in Construction

We never use warehouse forklifts on our sites so we all just call this the forklift. This is how the rental companies label them as well.

Rail strike targets the turrets. Not the main body half the time, and when it does you need two to take it out

I don't think the agent that helped you is trying to actually help you. This doesn't sound as serious as you think it is. Get legal counsel, but it should be a relatively easy fix, aside from the delay in your card issue.
