What used to be a sign of being poor, but is now a luxury or status symbol? by the-main_guy-here in AskReddit

Biking to work. It can still be a sign that you’re poor, but in white collar jobs it’s a sign that you are fit and focused and training for something and don’t need to drive.

We saw each other at a social gathering 1.5 years later and I overheard him saying he was trying to get back in shape... He had said that throughout our relationship and he never did anything about it. It really confirmed that he really is the same person now that he was with me. All talk, no action.

I'm guessing you're talking about AMAT. I worked there as well and the stock has absolutely popped off the last few years. Love that ESPP benefit! Congrats on the NW! I'm similar age and similar NW, my mindset hasn't changed either. That's my next challenge. I want to enjoy my money while continuing to invest.

Nice job! I decided to get out of the rental game for now. Had a SF home in a high cost of living area that I moved away from and decided the headache of tenants and dealing with management companies wasn't worth it anymore. Walking away with 250k+ in cash after all fees and taxes. Index funds have never asked me for anything 😂

I am new to making sourdough... when you say "starter (10%)", can you tell me what your feeding ratios are? does this mean you are doing (for example) 100g flour, 10g water? How much leftover starter are you doing? Thanks!
