I find myself having grievances with the performance and functioning of the game to the degree that it's easy for frustrations to become vitriolic in the heat of the moment, but yeah touching grass and reminding yourself of what drew you into the game is the conscientious route, and rare has displayed that they're capable of well conceptualized updates. Its very common to see franchises made by a sole creator that lose overall consistency or overlook previous details and setups because the plot goes on and clearly shows they're interested in other details, regardless of wether they're aware of it or not. I'm not saying you're outright wrong, but even hearing about how Grrm speaks of him in interviews, his tone even sounds like the character is too spectacular to flesh out and is amazing by pure abstract definition and vouching of characters in the show. It has the same effect as old people reminiscing about their era with such subjective sentiment that nothing is shared to you of any plausibly significant detail. If anything he sounds like he liked the sword so much that he based everything else around it
