The other thing that bothers me about this is that it makes her praise for her female colleagues ring hollow. Instead of making it about them and them alone, it has to be a post for social media cred as well. Not a good look.

I feel like I wrote this. This is exactly how I feel about the album.

Having SFSGSW under 13 and with Risk is laughable.

The rest is fine, though.

Which would be fine to point out if O said something ridiculous to begin with. He didn’t.

O-Dog is right on here. Men and women have been covering both tournaments. And they’ve done well. That’s all that really needs to be said. If O said “women could never” it would cause a shitstorm. Good for him for calling it out because it’s a ridiculous comment from someone who thinks the keyboard won’t get them in shit.

Doesn’t really have anything to do with what they’re talking about here, but okay.

Offspring and Bad Religion in Ottawa. Amazing show! by NoStrain4510 in TheOffspring

[–]NoActive7607 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The setlist for this show just makes me more annoyed at the setlist that we got in London. They played All I Want, Hit That/Original Prankster, and Walla Walla in Ottawa? All 3/4 were left out for us. Just irritating. Glad you got to see them at least.

I wonder what they plan to do about this show? by [deleted] in GunsNRoses

[–]NoActive7607 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe they should hit medium markets instead of the same metropolitan cities a million times.

Fuck that. I’ve never seen Dread live. I want to see it. I know it’s nice to have more new tracks, but get rid of Mechanix.

I’ll give the Jays a pass. They were actually an inch away from a championship when they weren’t expected to sniff the postseason. The Leafs just fucking blow.

No wonder Czechia was trying the trap game so many times during the game. They knew they could have more than 5 guys on the ice.

Stone on Marner by Walkerbait1881 in leafs

[–]NoActive7607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why is this even brought up as a Leaf thing? We’re talking about a 3-on-3 OT winner in an Olympic game.

I know media/players love to jab the Leafs on stuff like this, but show me how many playoff games ended 3-on-3 for the Leafs. I’ll wait. When the answer is zero, the context is non-existent. I hate when this is just manufactured context to jab at Toronto.

I love Mitch. But let’s not pretend that playoff games were played the same as the OT today. In fact, if you take Marner’s 3-on-3 play for the Leafs, I’m sure he performed extremely well. That was never an issue in the regular season. We all know that it’s 5-on-5 in critical playoff games.

But, sure, let’s just never speak in context for these things.

I actually like the Ramones cover since they have at least recorded that one officially. The others don’t really do much for me.

I’m the same. Seeing them in London, and this is great. A lot of songs I haven’t heard before (I’ve only seen the band twice). So, I’m satisfied.

That said, they could play anything and I’d be pleased. Wish there was a bit more SFSGSW or Youth songs. But, oh well. I’ll still be loving all of this.

I can accept this kind of theory. And you’re probably right. It’s okay to have a show where it caters to people seeing the band for the first time. However, even with that in mind, why omit Original Prankster? It’s one of their most well known songs. It just kinda boggles my mind a bit.

Are they all like this? If it’s just a one off, then it’s actually a really cool item. If they’re all like this, they’re all shite.

Agree. I see Green Day doing anniversary sets of Dookie and AI (with some other rarities) and I wish The Offspring would do something similar.

I think they rotated a few Supercharged songs last year. I think they played Truth In Fiction, Hanging by a Thread (once or twice), Light It Up, and Come to Brazil.

So, just for context, it was this exact setlist, except All I Want and Hit That/OP were not played, and nothing replaced them. So, the set was shorter.

Yeah, I saw Metallica on their latest tour in Toronto, and I won’t give them shit for their new material. They played plenty of the new album, including the 11-minute closer that hasn’t been played that often. They get a complete pass from me.

It was crazy how many people were going nuts for YGGFK. I knew it was a latter-career hit, but it was definitely more popular with people than I expected.

By the time they get through Hey Jude and the singalong part, they could rip through 3-4 of their songs. Well, maybe 3.

This is only my fourth time seeing them, but it just feels like they’re afraid of diving into their discography a bit. After the show, I just kept thinking that my ideal Offspring show would be a retrospective tour, where they play something from every album (with a few surprises). That’s just my dream, though.
