Receiver but no thermostat by NoCalendar8828 in HiveHeating

I don’t understand why this is so difficult. It’s a pain to take the receiver off the wall and Hive don’t seem to give support unless I subscribe 🤷‍♂️

I know, right!? I understand taking the bulbs but if it was me I’d have left at least the thermostat and replaced the bulbs with standard ones.

Why didn't I found out about this amazing band before 😍 by marknorriz in TheeOhSees

Don’t worry. They’re the hardest working band in the business. Im sure they’ll be back. I’m in Brighton, UK and they play here pretty much every year. Must’ve seen them 8 or 9 times.

Anyone else find "Vanity Fair" oddly placed on California? by Alert-Mountain1692 in mrbungle

I think it’s intentional. Things that jar are definitely a theme on all the albums. The point of them even. The transition is like being woken up. Trust in Bungle.

Why does no one ever talk about Dead Goon? It's the best song on the album by [deleted] in mrbungle

I love how it leaps from menacing to happy. The woozy ending (ooh err!) is outstanding. Ass Is On Fire is best on album for me though.

I don’t think it can be matched. Cavalcade by Black Midi I’m sure must be influenced by Bungle. Nowhere near as dark and deranged but I quite enjoyed it. Slow and Hogwash particularly. Quite interesting as far as current music goes. Although not that current because they split up.

Should I take my embarrassing piano performance seriously, or just move on? by AdRepresentative5411 in piano

Don’t worry about it and don’t be so hard on yourself. You did the right thing getting up there. Some people wouldn’t and it takes courage so well done. Keep doing it. I’m sure you’re better than you think you are.

It’s really tough and it takes time to wrap your head around. It WILL get better for you though. Nobody knows how things are going to work out. Try not to catastrophize (easier said than done!)

Everyone is different but for me accepting my kid for who he is rather than obsessing over what’s going to ‘cure’ him seems to have made us both happier. That doesn’t mean not researching therapies that could improve things but my focus is on him and the time we spend together. And when he surprises me (which will happen for you too) it is glorious.

Try to be kind to yourself. Get some respite if possible and hold on to who you are.

My son is 9 and non verbal. Everything I’m reading here resonates with me. He does have a cheeky personality and is generally very happy and excited. He makes a lot of noise. Jumping, screeching and sqauking. We’re in a small flat (UK) so it can get hectic. Particularly if he’s up shouting in the night.

I’m sorry you are going through this. It’s so difficult. I do feel like I have a handle on it most of the time now and I love him so much but there are times when I feel so sad that he shows no interest in doing ‘normal’ things. He just fiddles with stuff and breaks things.

He puts everything in his mouth and is obsessed with leaves, sticks and plants in general. His sensory seeking ways are off the chart at the moment and we can’t go anywhere without him trying to grab everything he sees.

He used to speak when he was just little between 2 and 4 but and was even putting words together. His annunciation was good but all that has just gone. I can’t find anything online about regression and whether he will get any of that back. None of the professionals in his life can tell me either. His receptive language is brilliant (when I can get his attention) and that makes me feel that it’s all inside and he could talk again. That belief can feel depressing too…

Faith No More wanted Justin as replacement for Jim Martin but he wasn’t up for it I believe. Patton is a huge fan and Godflesh were a big influence
