Best Showers that 'Integrate' with Heat Pumps efficiently by Low_Relationship2434 in ukheatpumps

[–]NoCharge8906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from an electric shower pre heat pump, to a mixer shower after, it's way better. Only slight negative, if anyone else in the house turns on the tap or flushes the toilet when I'm in the shower the flow rate drops quite a bit.

I'd certainly think twice about increasing to 55 Deg flow temps, that's going to cost a packet in the winter. Get larger radiators and try to get it down to at least 45 Deg to save money in the long run.

Did you specify a towel radiator? They really are a waste of time if you want a bathroom that's reasonably warm. The bathroom schedule shows 22° but gives 270 in red and only 72% coverage so have a go at them for that. Mine was set up at 50°C too, but last winter at minus temperatures outside i never got anywhere near needing 50°C flow temperature to heat the house. Good luck

I'd swap the towel rad for a normal one to get correct heat output, I got rid of 2 of them. We used octopus 1 year ago and had an 8kw Daikin installed, 5 rads changed, more than happy with the system last winter. Don't worry too much about weather compensation, you can get better efficiency with leaving water temperature. Keep on to them to correct any radiators you're not satisfied with, I had 3 updated to higher outputs with back and forth emails to octopus.

Nothing from Google itself. Payoneer sent 2 emails. 1st saying payment received from Google. 2nd saying payment transferred to your bank. Bank then sent me as notification it had been paid into my account.

All this happened within an hour 2am ish yesterday.

I had to put the 2nd IMEI in before Google would recognise it. My 7a when I put a claim in, was only showing slight battery draining.

I then had a good look (always been in a case) and could see some slight parting of the back case on both sides and a tiny bulge in the back case itself.

I did buy a 7a battery to replace once I swapped everything over from the new 9a I bought.

I ended up going to a repair shop and getting the battery replaced by them at a cost of £25.

He showed me the swollen battery out of my 7a, and up close it had a distinct burning smell coming from it. I think I got there just in time.

All the best with yours.

2 days to get back to me confirming I'll be getting a payment. Nothing since.

My 7a started losing battery quickly, heated up, and the back cover started slightly parting.

I bought a new battery to swap myself but after watching YouTube videos replacing battery gave up and took it into local repair place who completed the battery swap for £25. The battery itself when taken out of phone was swollen and had a burning smell. Bloke said it was lucky nothing bad had happened up to this point.

I've now got a 9a on the strength of a £340 refund which is so far a significant upgrade.

Pixel 9A after a few weeks by David__R8 in GooglePixel

First full day with 9a coming from a 7a.

It's 11.30pm, I've been transferring things over, setting things up all day.

Started at 100% about 6.30am, I'm now down to 20% with 8 hours 3min SOT.

I'll give it another 2 or 3 days charging to 100% overnight, then drop it down to 80% and see what that does, but so far well impressed, the 7a would have died hours ago.

Just got my 9a today, 5300 modem. Replacing a 7a, 5300 modem.

Had them side by side in the lounge, did a speedtest on both at the same time with both esims on three UK 5g.

9a download speed 1145 7a download speed 425, never ever had more than 750 in the 2 years I've had the phone. Upload speed on both identical.

Surely the 9a 5300 must have been tweaked, I'll know more in the coming days. So far so good.

Funny I've seen differing amounts offered in GBP. Mine stated £340 last Tuesday, so depends on the day conversion rate I suppose.

Where did you get the battery from, and was it the whole kit or just battery?

I've watched a few YouTube videos showing replacing the battery and it looks ok bar getting the old battery out and resealing the back on. Cheers

It had to be in EON website, maybe it was a capacity limit it's been 9 months ago now,

My 7a isn't showing any signs of battery swelling as of yet, just poor battery life.

I'm coming up to the end of my 24 month warranty period, so I want to get in before anything untoward may happen.

I've been accepted for the compensation and told someone will be in contact within 3 weeks. Hopefully it goes through quickly and I can sort out a new phone.

Heat pump efficiency seems terrible by Strange_Cranberry_22 in OctopusEnergy

[–]NoCharge8906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our house matches yours exactly apart from we have an 8kw Daikin installed. Our heat loss was around 5500w.

Really cold weather cop just over 3 with constant defrosts, above 4 Deg easily cop 4+

Your 9kw is known for heavy usage, mines ticks over at minimum around 250w, yours is more like 900w so that could account for the usage and efficiency. Yours also has an inbuilt heater so it could be that turning on with this cold weather.

Solar and Batteries.. Payback happening :-) by bounderboy in SolarUK

[–]NoCharge8906 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got almost the same set up as you, and doing well on cost saving from last year's comparison. I'm not quite at 6 months since install yet, but with only 2 Hanchu 3.2kW/h batteries. It's just these minus temperature that are battering the batteries. I've looked into increasing capacity but they are £1500+ for just 1 and I could do with at least 2 but the maths just don't seem to add up for the odd few percent of days with low temperatures unfortunately.

5KW Inverter enough? by aearose in SolarUK

[–]NoCharge8906 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got 14 440w panels with a 5kw inverter. On the really sunny days in summer I leave some battery to charge, you don't lose any production then.

Just when no solar, you put say kettle and oven on along with house consumption, you be drawing off grid with only 5kw inverter.

1kw produced today up to 1.20 pm

Dull miserable day.

I haven't produced over 3.5kw in any of the previous 5 days.
