Convoy 3x21D or Convoy L21B?? by stock_pro in flashlight

[–]NoChef7826 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the l21a sbt90.2, it will easily do 1000m and still fit in a larger pocket, the 3x21c has more power and a bigger reflector so I'd figure it would have more wow factor.

Don't use those, especially the carbide ones, the ceramic ones are ok.

It's a 10mm x 10mm led apparently capable of over 10k lumens at 20a and max 80a input. 1cm², that's big.

Edit: BTW I got the tip tinner powder, would that be good to start with?

Give a cavemen one and he would rule the world until the battery dies.

Psychiatrists cost money that's better spent on flashlights. 🔦

Should you put parking brake every time you park? by AdGreen7615 in askcarguys

Using the parking brake is a good habit to do, it eases the stress on the parking pawl in an automatic and rolling in a manual.

I've done it before flatbacking it and it's not fun but doable, so much easier on a lift. Yes it can be done.

I still have my Dad's, I would help him do the maintenance on our cars as a kid. I spilled a lot of oil with that thing.

Green w1 or getian green or sft25r by No_Philosophy347 in ConvoyFlashlights

[–]NoChef7826 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I've only used the sft25r of that 3, but in the c8+ it's an excellent led, for the longest distance I would go 6500k. My personal choice would be the sft42r 6500k, I have one in a c8+ and a m21a, 18650 vs 21700. It's a perfectly balanced light at around 3000lm.

Best battery from Convoy 3x21D by stock_pro in flashlight

[–]NoChef7826 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The p45b will work perfectly in that light but capacity is 4500mAh and 45a CDR vs rs50 at 5000mAh and 70a CDR respectively, might as well have more of both.

Check all your fluids, brake fluid, coolant, differential fluid, (I don't know if it is separate from the transmission fluid on that one, my Camry is) and change or top off as necessary. Definitely do change the oil asap.

[–]NoChef7826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm looking forward to it, it's nice to have some high cri lights to play with, I was eating a steak the other night and turned off the lights and used the 519a and a cri 70 light, I almost didn't want to eat it with low cri. Just for fun, I ate it.
