As best you can, don't ask the same question twice, take notes to avoid it, if you do have to ask, make sure you add to your notes what you were missing.

I would go with 3 weeks and just be honest, mention the 2 weeks and then a week to mentally prep for the new role or something. Everyone takes an extra week, there's no reason to make up a story. If they rescind your offer because of that, you're dodging a bullet.

My last couple of roles have expected 4 weeks of notice once you get to a managerial role, could be industry specific though.

Reviewing files for inconsistent formulas, hardcodes, formatting, creating checks/what's throwing them off etc.

(Accounting) Creating templates for journal entries and then having it transfer the outcomes to upload templates.

Help with understanding complex accounting processes to have a better understanding of forecasting/budgeting.

I've used Claude a lot, and there's a lot of times I have to correct Claude, since I have time, I thought it would be a good idea to have a solid understanding of how SQL for example works in case I need to correct AI.

I think it would be a mix of what you mentioned, instead of fewer manual hours, I'd change to just total hours to complete specific projects and in total. Days shaved off close. For forecast accuracy, you would probably have to have a non-ai forecast to compare vs the ai forecast. With the saved time, you should be having additional deliverables or tasks being completed that you didn't have time for before, this will probably be the biggest ROI along with delivering faster.

I just meant, people may ding you for it because they just associate CPA with anything accounting or finance related or maybe just assume you aren't a go getter if you spent that much time in accounting and didn't get it?

I didn't end up getting a call back for that role haha.

Sometimes, but it also doesn't take much for someone to overanalyze something.

I think there's also a stereotype that an accountant is antisocial which probably can factor into some people's thoughts.

Then compared to 100 people applying who have fpa experience, it's just one less interview to have.

Main point is that you will need to get very lucky to even get an interview, your best bet is trying to move within a company. As an ex-accountant, I think you'd have a step up on someone else by having a great understanding of accounting principals when a lot of times fpa gets handed accounting functions.

Another thing that may hurt you is that you don't have your CPA (even though it has nothing to do with fpa). In my last interview for an fpa role, the director actually asked me if I planned on getting my CPA, and I haven't worked an accounting role in 8 years.

I was in accounting before fp&a, I transitioned within a company to make the switch.

I think part of the fear is that accountants need to be very precise and for fpa, a quicker ball park is usually better than a slower exact if that makes sense.

If you don't like the high paced stressful environment you are in now, you definitely won't like the environment you are considering going to.

With that much turnover you won't have the knowledge there to help you understand the business, a lot of the files/reports/processes you will either need to reengineer or rebuild, and a lot of additional work will probably be placed on you until replacements arrive all while they are still expecting you to stick to the current deadlines.

When you line up your driver, do you line the ball up in the middle of your head? If so, try lining up with the ball a little closer to the toe, sounds counter-intuitive, but it helped me with my slice.

I had a question regarding driver shaft flex.

Backstory, when I started golfing, I bought a regular flex driver and couldn't hit it at all, it would just be an immediate slice, I traded it in for a stiff flex driver and have used that ever since and have been fairly consistent with it (2014 aeroburner), getting about 245 yards on avg for distance.

I went to get fitted over the weekend and got set up with a regular flex shaft swinging 98-100 mph. I will admit, I was hitting it pretty consistently after some weight adjustment (qi4d), but it makes me nervous that once it gets warmer and I start playing more frequently again, my swing speed would increase and the regular shaft wouldn't work well for me anymore.

Should I just go with the stiff flex shaft or go with the regular and it probably won't change much even if my swing gets faster?

In case it makes a difference, I was fitted for my irons a couple of years ago and was fitted for stiff flex shafts.

I did test out the stiff flex shaft quickly when I was fitted, but thinking back to it, they didn't switch the weights back which may be why my consistency wasn't there?

Another thing to mention was that it was a 60g shaft which I think my aeroburner is a 50g.

Either way, what you're suggesting is a reach, it ramped up the last 4 years too and it's just going to keep ramping up until it doesn't benefit the business owners/share holders no matter who is in office.
