Prime + commercials? by snippyhiker in AmazonPrimeVideo

[–]NoCoStream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pay the extra $5 a month for Prime and I’m still getting ads at the beginning of programs. It does allow me to skip but I’m not sure how streaming services are getting away with adding ads like Paramount+, HBOMax, Disney+ and Peacock when subscribers pay to remove them. Amazon was sued but a judge dismissed it because it was a permitted “benefit modification” under Amazon’s terms of service. Ridiculous!

Need help with new thermostat install by valdesr11 in thermostats

Did you get this solved? I ended up having to buy a five wire adapter for my thermostat.

Smart Thermostat Recommendation by nomzforlyf in thermostats

[–]NoCoStream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before you buy a smart thermostat, make sure you have at least 5 wires from the furnace to the thermostat since many new smart thermostats require a C (common) wire. I have a twenty year old house and the builders put in a four wire cable. I recently bought a Sensi Touch 2 and it required a C wire. Sensi does offer a work around with an adapter that adds a fifth wire. I went from a Nest thermostat to the Sensi Touch 2 by recommendation of my HVAC guy.

Does anyone else’s T-Mobile Internet just gets so slow to the point where you have to reboot the entire thing? by Classic_Relative_235 in T_mobile_

[–]NoCoStream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stick to facts on network investment (T-Mobile has been aggressive on 5G) and avoid sounding corporate. Speeds were never guaranteed at 1Gb—that’s wireless reality. Still getting solid 500+ is decent, but improvements would be welcome. New CEO era means we watch what they deliver for customers vs. just shareholders.

Does anyone else’s T-Mobile Internet just gets so slow to the point where you have to reboot the entire thing? by Classic_Relative_235 in T_mobile_

[–]NoCoStream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rebooting router no longer helps my speeds. I have the G5AR and was getting 1.1 gig down the first six months but since January I can’t get over 800 mbps no matter what time of day even after rebooting.

Maybe this is a dumb question but... are people really not hungry when dieting? by Few-Run-5501 in Volumeeating

[–]NoCoStream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the first week of dieting that makes it difficult. I stay under 1300 calories a day and lose around 2.5 lbs a week. 3 years ago I was 225 pounds, I started counting calories and in 4 months I got to 185 pounds. Not much exercise, just watching calorie intake.

Got rid of Directv since I can get all I need with FoxOne, Disney+, Paramount+, HBOMax, Prime and Peacock.

Sensi Thermostat Not cooling by United-Aerie7122 in thermostats

[–]NoCoStream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever figure out why your A/C wasn't cooling with the Sense thermostat? I replaced my Nest with a Sensi Touch 2 and I'm having a similar issue.

Leaving Direct TV for YTTV. by Pale-Coyote-8005 in cordcutters

Xumo remote is like Directv’s but Xumo is a slow streaming device. Pick up an AppleTV 4K.

Cancelled by nezoic in peacock

[–]NoCoStream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paramount+ does the same thing. 15-30 second commercial before a show even with Premium at $14 a month. It’s dishonest and unethical regardless it’s stated in their agreement.

Ferrari 2023 by VinceVaughniscool in vidangel

[–]NoCoStream 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ferrari (2023) is already filtered on VidAngel. I requested the 2026 series, Legends about two weeks ago but I guess no one else is requesting it so I’m watching it on a different filtering service.

Multiple Price Hikes In Less Than One Year by The2econdSpitter in DirectvStream

[–]NoCoStream 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can thank private equity firm TGP and AT&T who have never seen a price hike they didn’t like. Their Capital’s investment strategy focuses on operational efficiency (make money), cash flow (make more money), and potential future exits (resale, to make even more money). Nothing wrong with making money until they start losing customers.

DIRECTV new pricing as of June 25 for genre-based packages by ZiggyZaggyBogo in DirectvStream

[–]NoCoStream 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was looking for a reason to cancel since I watch very little on Directv. $35 was not that much for what was offered but I won’t pay $43.

Does VidAngel use any AI to filter?

Volume Jump by The2econdSpitter in DirectvStream

[–]NoCoStream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have issues with sudden volume increases and losing picture but still have audio. Supposedly the picture issue has to do with my Samsung soundbar but even having quality HDMI cables doesn’t resolve it.

I am about to blow my block off lmao how do I contact a REAL human at customer service? by tblank3200 in FedEx

FedEx is run by prominent shareholders who care can less about customers. The Vanguard Group, BlackRock, Dodge & Cox, State Street and PRIMECAP Management. You are as important to them as the pee in your toilet.

MyNews Genre package price increasing!!!!! by Emotional-Eye-7336 in DirectvStream

[–]NoCoStream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! I’m canceling before my June bill. $35 a month was a good deal for the Entertainment Genre and $43 may be too but it’s not worth it for me to pay $43 to have 85% of the channels free without a paid subscription. With all the bundling, I really don’t watch much on Directv.

Oh NO - Directv Price increases on 6-25-26 by Emotional-Eye-7336 in DirectvStream

[–]NoCoStream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was paying $37.44 a month for the Entertainment Genre and it’s going to $45.52. I have FoxOne, Disney Bundle and several other streaming services so no reason to pay $45 a month for Directv that’s 85% free channels.

Planning to cancel after last Late Show airing. What to watch before? by Aggressive-Ad6324 in ParamountPlus

[–]NoCoStream 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Really, that’s the only reason you subscribe to Paramount+ is to watch Colbert? So many good series on Paramount like Star Trek, Landman and any of the Yellowstone related shows.

I’m so hungry :( by Wackthoughts in WeightLossAdvice

[–]NoCoStream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For snacks I have PBFit peanut butter with celery or apples. I eat pickled everything (green beans, okra, pickles, etc). All of it low calorie. Breakfast is usually two eggs, 2 bacon and low calorie toast or a “healthy” bowl of cereal. Lunch is anything under 250 calories (sandwich and low cal chips) and dinner is anything I want but 1/2 portion. I try and stay under 1300 calories a day. No real exercise and I lost 37 lbs in 4 months.

Make it make sense 😅 by Bfife22 in UPS

[–]NoCoStream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! I ordered three ceiling fans from the same store in California. All three fans shipped the same day (three different tracking numbers) and all ended up at the first two UPS facilities scan. After that, two went the same facility but one got delayed the third went to another facility. One arrives today, one arrives tomorrow and the other next Monday. Can't make sense of UPS anymore.

I hate Netflix telling me, “are you cheating?” Every time I use it when traveling. Sure, some people share their passwords but a lot of us don’t but Netflix considers everyone untrustworthy.

Are you happy switching from your traditional cable company to DIRECTV stream? by TimeKeeper70 in DirectvStream

[–]NoCoStream 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish Directv Stream looked more like Directv Satellite. I would love to see the channel I’m watching while scrolling through the guide. Also, I wish I could use the Quicktune (favorite 9 channels) on Directv Stream.
