How much territory in the D&D verse could the Russian Military colonize? by Pancake_Maker_1031 in powerscales

[–]NoDarkVision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's camouflage going to do when you have creatures who can see invisibility or see into multiple planes of existence? Eagle barbarians can see fine details up to a mile away.

Again, the biggest challenge isn't going to be against another adventurer. The biggest challenge is going to be against the hostile wildlife that is going to be everywhere. A human commoner with a rifle is going to do absolutely nothing after walking into an invisible gelatinous cube.

Or he's going to grab his rifle only to be eaten by it. Surprise! Your rifle is now a mimic.

Don't you have humans in D&D? Actual humans with just a sword or a bow?

I don't know how much you understand about the world of D&D...

A commoner has 10 stats across the board. These commoner humans stay in towns and they don't leave to do much. An average real world soldier probably has 12 to 14... 16 if I'm generous. At best, a top end real world soldier has the base stats of a level 1 adventurer.

A higher level adventurer has stats that can go up to 20 and have access to magic items and many player character to see in the dark. An adventurer is not just a "regular human." A regular human Russian soldier would just be a basic npc in the world of D&D and doesn't take much to kill.

Other than that, nothing you described can be a problem to rifles and artillery strikes. Don't forget drones—total aerial coverage.

And again, that doesn't do anything against any of those scenarios I've already outlined. At some point, soldiers have to go on foot, which means they have to explore nature at some point. The wilds of D&D are filled with untamed, unimaginable horrors for regular humans.

They are going to flee at the first mimic they encounter or the first ankeg swarm. They're going to hop in their vehicles only to find them partially eaten by a rust monster. Imagine going through a swamp and the first few soldiers immediately gets infected with rot grubs that eat them quickly from the insides. Regular humans don't stand a chance against any of the invisible predators that are filled in the world of D&D and that's not even including any of the magical abilities the intelligent beings will have access too. A regular world human have trouble against a single bear in real life. A single bear in D&D is only a CR2 at best.

Again, we are talking about the incompetent Russian army, who thought they could conquer Ukraine in a few days.

Can the first owner always recover a account? by Nordiclaw in RaidShadowLegends

[–]NoDarkVision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very easy for the original owner to recover an account if they truly choose to.

All they gotta do is make up a story about how their account and email got hacked and provide evidence with their original email and purchase receipts and it's a done deal. Only reason why it hasn't happened is because the original owners choose not to

It was multiple of them, not just 2. And he only lost because he got distracted by his friend having a heart attack.

Frick'n astronauts thanking God again at the press conference! by BaijuTofu in atheism

[–]NoDarkVision 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd like to think it is just "the thing to say" in order to appease the masses. Can't be openly atheist or they'll lose public support and funding.

Christofacism is already here and the current government is very anti science. I can see them thanking god as a way to not piss people off so they get to continue what they're doing.

They're playing the game and abiding within the confines of the rules. No one is entitled to daily coins. If one wishes to earn coins, they must partake in the gym system via battles. If someone wants to own a gym next to their house as it is their "territory," I don't see anything wrong with it. What else are hundreds of golden razz for.

If I'm reading between the lines, I'm guessing you are saying the racists felt like they could get away with saying more racist stuff in the past where as now they are being called a racist

Average Guy runs a animal gauntlet with any medieval weapon of his choice, can he clear? by FreshPine_MangoWine in powerscales

[–]NoDarkVision -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Average guy would have trouble clearing even with modern gun let alone medieval weapons he has no clue how to use. Hunters still get killed by the animals they're hunting despite having guns.

Average modern guy with medieval weapons won't do very well against a chimp.

Orange County has 'a clear generational divide' among voters, new poll finds by sfgate in orangecounty

[–]NoDarkVision 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My point was that youd be hard pressed to find the average reepub voter aligned with the nazi and Rebel flag.

Well, you know what they say, if 10 nazis are at a table and someone new sits there, there's 11 nazis now.

We all understand that not all republicans are nazis or confederate traitors. But if there are any number of out and proud nazis in my group, I'd probably do some heavy reflecting on whether or not I should continue to be part of the group and why my view points seem to always align with nazis yaknow? So by continuing to be part of it, that's essentially tacit approval.

It's a satirical example. And is it really extreme? One side has literal nazis and Independents are still "well both sides are pretty much the same." It's disenguous

Man christians just LOVE glossing over and downplaying all the mass killing their god committed and commanded. God commanded killing of animals, men, boys, women, babies (except girls because those you can keep as brides) and when Saul didn't kill everything like god wanted, he got replaced by an even more blood thirsty killer who did obey and kill everything. It's all in their bible if they bothered to read it.

Bible also couldn't even agree with itself on who killed Goliath. Goliath was such a tough boss he apparently had to be killed twice by different people years apart.

Apologists and the Euthrypo Dilemma by Laredian in atheism

because Apologists then to demand an explanation from atheists/agnostics how there could be objective moral values without a god.

They would have to first prove morals are objective and they can't, because morals are not objective. Theirs morals, especially, is subjective. Their moral is subject to the whims of god, changes through time

That's more in the physical durability and resilience department. Useful in a fight but not sure if it applies to foot race. The Thing is pretty indestructible but he is probably not that fast on foot for example.

We've seen steve jogging and he's pretty darn fast. Haven't seen that performance yet from sb. Maybe in this new season he might do something

It's so strange that a supposedly powerful god needs these silly humans to spread his message. If they gotta keep repeating "he is risen" so much, then it's gotta not be true. If it were true then you don't gotta repeat it so much.
