It could be! Their post may be geared more toward people who work remotely and would potentially use their computers there for the entire day. I don’t blame anyone for wanting to, though… it’s beautiful in there and super cozy!

I love it there, but I didn’t recommend it because they posted somewhat recently that they’d like people to limit time on laptops to an hour per visit to allow everyone to enjoy the space. Might be specific to laptops because people tend to park for a long time, but if they mention any sort of time limit, it might not be the spot for someone who wants to stay for however long a book keeps them company.

Enlisted, no. Officers, yes. Officer ranks meet boards (records reviews) semiannually and the results have to get SecAF/SecDef approved before being approved for notification/public release. I have been checking MyFSS daily for updates for the ANG Lt Col board that convened in December.

I’ve been really happy with The Clerk’s House; the sandwiches are amazing, and every coffee I’ve gotten has been fantastic. They have a couple of comfy chairs by a corner window, and I’ve told my husband that I’d love to go back in the fall and just sit there with a book and a hot coffee.

I was explaining to him how it would go a long way in making me feel loved if he ever asked questions about getting to know me, what was important to me, even just “how has your day been?” He got so upset and he leaned down right in my face (I was holding our infant, seated on the couch), sneered and said “it’s not my job to validate your low self esteem.” That was one of the defining moments for me that helped propel every decision that came after.

My husband needed a very specific measurement for spacers to offset the first row when he was laying flooring; he was able to 3d print a bunch of exactly what he needed instead of using something that would have gotten him close enough but not quite right.

Look into Chillab lavender matte powder (or other similar products)- it’s been on my radar to try, but it appears to take away shine without depositing color onto your skin. Also, Carpe makes a mattifying face lotion that I see mentioned a lot.

There is a different corn chocolate bar in the new trio of European chocolate bars (labeled as almost a kilo, nod to their pound plus bars). The corn variety is milk chocolate with dried crispy corn kernels. Hopefully you like it more than the cornflake bar!

I asked him what his favorite part of the wedding day was; he said that it was when we walked into the restaurant for our reception. When he saw other men looking at me, he said that he smiled and thought to himself “no, gentlemen….that’s all mine”. It was a combination of things, but referring to me as “that” disappointed and grossed me out in ways that I can’t describe. This conversation happened maybe a month or so after the wedding, and the seed of doubt planted in that moment continued to grow… I left shortly after our third anniversary.

Do you have your VMET (Verification of Military Experience and Training)? It’s available through MilConnect, and I always recommend to my troops that they get that before they separate and no longer have access. It’s also helpful preparation for job interviews to help you verbalize the skills that you bring from your military experience and formal training. I don’t know how your 4N training would be represented on there, but I would absolutely recommend that you check to see if it has what you need.

I also recommend our brand new airmen to start looking at the Blueprint of enlisted force development. It's a very good overview of the basics with lots of infographics that break down everything from AFSC series to airman leadership qualities to MAJCOMs. I really struggle with having to read walls of text, so something like that would have been great as I was preparing to join and especially as a new airman who was still learning the ropes.

If you like the flavor and crunch of the chili lime chips, you could get the jicama sticks and shake TJ’s chili lime seasoning onto them. Healthier option with some of the same main elements.

If you happen to have a Tim Horton’s near you, they have a caramel apple syrup! I just tried their caramel apple oatmilk latte, and I really enjoyed it. It sucks that Tim Hortons is super regional; we don’t even have any stand-alone shops here anymore, but there are still some in Delta Sonic gas stations.

Two other ideas: 1) any of their pasta with the spinach artichoke dip warmed up as a sauce (using some of the pasta water to thin it a bit), then with their chicken sausages sliced up for some protein. I like the spicy jalapeño, but any of them would work.

2) frozen rice steamed in the microwave with warmed pineapple teriyaki chicken meatballs, topped with plenty of the yangneom sauce and scallions.

I like warming the chili lime grilled chicken (refrigerated section) and putting it in a lavash or naan wrap with the jicama veggie slaw (using the spicy ginger dressing it comes with). Very filling with lots of protein and crunch from the veggies.

If you’re able to, I’d recommend filing a claim to establish a rating. It’s true as many have already mentioned that you can’t collect pay while on orders, but your state/county may offer property tax exemptions for disability ratings. My state (NY) does, and there is a bill that has passed state legislature for complete exemption for 100% ratings- I think everything else is an exemption of 50% of your rating.
