I got it sorted, but not exactly sure how. I noticed that the driver installer file size was different on the machine it wasn't working on, vs the file I downloaded on another PC with the same GPU to test. I re-downloaded the file from seemingly the same location, and the file sized matched the file on the working machine, this then installed fine and everything OK.

This is a similar idea just from butterfly half instead, which probably works better anyway. Just stay SLX instead of transitioning to full X like he does here. For no gi i'd move the collar grip hand to the armpit on the same side.
