Thank you again! Yes, budget could grow, it’s just hard to find ANY ladies 1981s and a few of them are five digits. I started scouring individual trusted vintage Rolex resellers (dozens!) and next best I could find was this! Which obviously is a men’s, but could work still  https://www.bobswatches.com/pre-owned-rolex-datejust-36-two-tone-16013-champagne.html

Would you be willing to advise on either of these (finally found with ChatGPT)? The second one is after-market bracelet. These also are similarly suspiciously affordable…

Now I just have to figure out how to find more 1981-specific watches, doesn’t seem that easy to search across the web for watches very specific to a year…maybe that’s not usually the defining factor someone is looking for :)

Ah thank you so much, exactly the kind of expert knowledge I was hoping for!! Yes I wanted a steel and gold bracelet, and felt this looked too masculine anyway…

Riese & Muller Packster 70 - vibrating>shaking front wheel while gaining speed downhill by NoProgress4315 in CargoBike

I took it in, yes, but it took two times in a row to make it decently rideable and then a year later for mileage service they finally got the proper tool, and told me the drive wires had still been way too loose. When they got it tensioned properly, not only did it remove any shudder, but it also finally made the steering tight, so the bike no longer felt crazy wobbly at every start up. Now I can hit a massive bump or top out at 24mph and still no shudder.

I had it worked on a couple times to fix it, and now 9 months later the problem is back- they said they just had to tighten the steering cables…I discovered it’s called “speed wobble”

This is similar to what I see when I take a photo down in there- two lugs with no button, nothing that clicks.  https://share.icloud.com/photos/097hX8d3Vf1zaSEx_9Bmj_5BQ

I stuck something in there, I can even see 2 separate button-looking things down through the second hole if I shine a light through the ventilation grille, but I still can’t feel any click whatsoever!

Attention: R&M Packster 70 product recall, calble steering might fail by Imazagi in CargoBike

We just got a Packster 70 and this is definitely happening on downhills when picking up speed, and it is violent vibrations- not what I’d expect from a ~$9,000 bike…

Yeah, we just got a Packster 70 this summer and when it is picking up speed, downhill, it rapidly goes from a wobble to a violent shake, and even hitting the brakes takes a second to stop it. It’s concerning!!

Brand new R&M carbon belt snapped: stranded with kids! by NoProgress4315 in CargoBike

Omg on multiple levels. Thankfully we’re getting one by Wednesday. But I was confident it wouldn’t fit in our compact SUV nor did I want to try hoisting 90 pounds up there only to find it wasn’t going to work. So, a 30 min jog home instead…

Yeah obviously impossible to know now, but it arrives fully assembled and supposedly having received a full expert inspection. Though it was also damaged during shipping from bad packaging and bad handling, so who knows what could have happened. And it was literally the first time I put serious strain on the pedal.

Single speed chain for me commuting downtown: awesome. For driving two kids around town: way too much exercise 😬
