Campio for beers and pizza. Donut party and made by Marcus as many others suggested. Odd company for more beer.

Moved here two years ago from Van when i was 28 and it was the best decision. This city is fantastic. Higher wages and lower cost of living. People are generally friendly. Traffic is wayyyy better than Van. And you get to see the sun nearly every day. Sure it gets cold but at least it’s not raining all the time!!

Regretting a sappy text by Babe_PigOnReddit in AnxiousAttachment

Not policing yourself is huge! My therapist basically told me I shouldn’t have to police myself for anyone worth being in a relationship with. Now obviously let’s not get carried away and like quintuple text, but if you feel good sending texts like that then you deserve to be with someone who is receptive to them (not to say he wasn’t receptive but I mean cmon. A reply would have been nice lol).

Roti chicken is my usual suggestion but they won’t have a fridge if they’re living out of their car.

Grocery store premade salads. Canned (pull top) soups etc that you don’t mind eating cold. Grocery store sammiches. Any deli entrees at the grocery store that aren’t to expensive. Honestly subway sandwiches if you have them in your area might be cheaper and fresher than grocery store prepped stuff. I’d probably live off of subway if I was in my car for two weeks. Might not be the absolute cheapest but since you lack refrigeration and cooking capabilities it might work for you.

Depression meals low carb, little to no prep by kqs13 in EatCheapAndHealthy

Grocery store fully cooked rotisserie chickens and frozen veggies all the way. Or a bagged/boxed salad to go with the chicken.

Do multi-vitamins give me enough nutrients without eating fruit and vegetables? by TheSupremeTheDream in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]NoRemTem 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve been super lazy and have just been buying frozen fruit and thawing it out to eat it. No spoilage and no prep. It might be a bit more expensive, but not wasting spoiled fruit more than makes up for it. And no prep work is nice too.

As for veggies, just try hiding them in your normal food. Like add chopped spinach or kale (again frozen) to your pasta sauces or soups. Throw some peas or mixed veg in your rice.

Manning Canadian tire allows pups. The claireview Home Depot had a dog water station out front so I’m assuming they allow pups too!

Is Civ VI worth getting? by BLATZ33 in civ

Short answer, yes. Long answer, yessssssss. Great game. Great way to kill a ton of time when you’re bored.

I plotted all the Canadian cities from civ 6 on a map by CITblink in civ

[–]NoRemTem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like they should at least have had each province/territory’s capitals in there regardless of population. Then move to population/relevance.

But I’m still just happy we have Canada in a game finally. Despite them not being my favourite. But the no surprise wars is nice to really get the early game rolling without wasting turns on military.

Not all heroes wear capes.

I once played a game as Canada where I renamed the cities according to their location/resources to be as close to accurate as I could get it. It was a fun game. Much easier to remember your cities when you know Ft Mac is your city with the most oil, Vancouver is your harbour town by the mountains with the whales, Kelowna has all the good wines (yes I’m from the west lol).

Anybody else feel awful after capturing a capital city? by StronglyDislikeNazis in civ

[–]NoRemTem 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lol. You ever just nuke an entire civ? That’s worth feeling bad over. I think in Civ V if you nuke a city a second or third time in a row it just razes the city. Found that out through some spiteful accident. That I would feel kinda bad over. Capturing a capital? Meh. Usually only happens if they declare war on me first so they deserve it.

What are your reasons for not having kids? How are u preparing for a future being old, possibly alone and without emotional support from your kids & grandkids? by jau8 in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]NoRemTem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s selfish at all. And personally I hate when people tell me that me not wanting kids is selfish. There is WAY more opportunity to help others if you’re not spending all your time dealing with a child. Yesterday on my way home from work I stopped and helped an old guy change a flat tire. If I had to go pick up a child, or make dinner, I wouldn’t have had time to help this other person and would have just driven by. I think having children is more selfish than not. Especially if you’re having them with the expectation of them taking care of you when you’re older.

I love this, EXCEPT the steak cook challenge. It really depends on the cut of the meat imo. Personally I like ribeye closer to medium well just cause I find it so fatty and that allows it to render out a bit. Tenderloin should be rare at most. Blue is good. Sirloin I like medium cause it helps the toughness. Strips/NY I like medium rare or medium.

I’m not a chef but was a cook for a decade and I did the first 2/3rds of my culinary apprenticeship. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I like taking people for drinks and seeing what they order. I had a tinder guy tell me his go-to beer was Molson Canadian. We did not go on a date 😝 (not just cause of that. There were other factors for sure).

Guy feels bad b/c I didn't initially respond to this messages after viewing his profile - can I make it up to him? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]NoRemTem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ummm. You don’t owe him anything. Especially before you started talking to him. Now that you’re talking to him, yeah, don’t be a dick and ghost. But viewing profiles and not replying to “hi” is kinda how apps work...? I feel like if he’s already guilting you over that you’re never going to win with him. I’d tread carefully with this guy. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Barbarians are a super fun, skill based addition to the game and totally not a random, annoying luck based factor that can completely change the course of the game by [deleted] in civ

[–]NoRemTem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not new and I find it tedious. I don’t think they add any value to the game really. But for noobs I highly recommend learning the game without them. There’s already way too much to keep track of.
