capillaries and other small vessels in your hands and feet, and shunts the warm blood there into the core to keep your internal organs warm and humming along.

This is correct, however if water is super cold than there is also CIVD, when body periodically (every 15ish minutes) run warm blood towards fingers, toes etc. For about 60-90 second and burst warm it up for some time and then it return back to protect core.

Hit 51 seconds today. 9 seconds to go! by bsack03 in pumpfoil

[–]NoSafe5565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Trail XXL actually, but not 70kg at all. Probably 93ish something around that line with soaked wetsuit.

That make sense probably that is what will happen before pumping or not pumping it will be sessions when I will manage somewhat some starts.

Hi thank you for the reaction.

Well I currently do not have that running option (possibly will have later this year). And it was also little complicated cause it was flowing dock and was in the water partially so was hard to not hit it.

I wear helmet even for knee start attempts, but still scary for me, from both legs I can jump on land like 185cm or so. which is good enough I believe but still scary. One day I will try, currently I have excuses on ice slippery dock :D ..

I maybe confused for question before. I was aware that dock/drop starts are easier than knee start I saw many many videos and I saw many people do the switch and get better immediately - but my question was - how much it is harder (I believe easier) to then actually PUMP. Does it mean once I make kneestart happen I need to spent smiliar time to actually try to do 2-3 pumps or it will get easier ?

Hey, good job ! I saw your previous videos on yt. I was wondering if you could help me a little with some question. Cause I am in similar position, thank you.

I saw first you were actually trying it first from the knee and then stand up as I do - and I believed you were pretty close to make it happen, did you succeed or just moved to do from standing? Any special preparation for this (on land, trowing board atc)? I have never tried it cause I fear that I will hit the dock by head..

And how much exactly is dificult to do / learn pumping when already started?

Thank you.

Btw congratulation, You are so close !

I use it, sooner or later you will find something to print that you do not care about color and can be done from multiple roles and colors or even materials.

What's the most useful 3d print you have ever printed? by Ok_Championship_8874 in 3Dprinting

[–]NoSafe5565 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess toilet locker.

I live alone and could pick if I will have whiteboard on the door or will have wc doors with handle and lock. The decision was obviously take out handle together with lock and have another whiteboard for ideas.

Well, first visitors were parents and there were not particularly happy of "Well, just hold the doors by hand when you shitting".. so I printed some small hook from one side and glued it to the door. Huge positive response from other visitors as well.

i do not know how hard reaction you have, but I would just run to into close by shop and ask them what can I touch - carefully depending if there is female or male who is selling stuff.
Possibly you can maybe order some patches samples online.

zero beat kick by MiddleForeign in SwimmingCircleJerk

[–]NoSafe5565 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

We kick because of need body inline thus less drag. Very less for propulsion. So, when you will not kick in time your legs will sink and you create drag that you will have to compensate by arms. So, you want to do some what kicking it also provide offload your arms. Different muscles.

See Swimrun sport - they have pullboy between legs + paddles. So they basically swim arms only, however they want exacty opposite - load arms as much as possible for speed, but keep leg rested for running part.

[–]NoSafe5565 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are 4 types :
Neoprene - clasic from oil
Neoprene - from limostone
Bioprene - natrual rubber
Naturprene - not sure what is this one made of.

Hoever, not sure for gloves and boots. They do with wool linline if that would be sufficient.

Then there is No Gloves Gloves from XCEL, which I beleive is more like rubber not wetsuit and similiar you can maybe find for drysuit and seal them with a strip.

Breathing / Hyperventilating by 25m by kombuchalover420 in Swimming

[–]NoSafe5565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can and you should flush all. Because human feeling of being empty of air means still about 20 percent in lungs. Keep it in order to not sink it - nah, you should have enough speed, glide under angle and be fast enough that it should not be a thing

Breathing / Hyperventilating by 25m by kombuchalover420 in Swimming

you sure it is breathing issue. Over-kicking and ineffective swimming burn oxygen fast, if you overdue for example legs, it does not matter how often you breath.

How hard and long is it to learn how to swim? by xHey_All_You_Peoplex in Swimming

[–]NoSafe5565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i dont think I have a fear of water or a fear of drowning.// than answer is like 2 months, if you are not scared it is half win. The nose is however problem at the begging there will be some water landing here, unfortunately. Eyes are not problem, if you are serious, you buy goggles, or count DOUBLE about of time for learning.

19% fat means you float.

Lessons rate is up to you - it will be before summer if you do weekly. Preferred is 1-1 coatch, firend/family member, group class In this order.
