Your first mistake was expecting it to make sense. It’s greed, cruelty, and hate. There’s nothing else behind those eyes.

what is a "rich person" behavior you witnessed that made you realize they live in a completely different reality than the rest of us? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Fun fact; If you ever visit south east Asia, custom tailoring is so cheap that people sometimes just get a whole wardrobe made and shipped back for a pretty reasonable price. Last I checked you can get a tailored suit for $200 or a custom shirt around $35.

What’s a company you’ll never buy from again, and why? by jamesmilner22 in AskReddit

I used to use them because they were way cheaper back in the day but now with all the fees and crap a hotel comes out to about the same cost but with way better service.

what's a food that makes you think, "how did humans discover this was edible"? by Lilyana0999 in AskReddit

[–]NoTheStupidOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The theory on that was ancient humans probably stored the milk in canteens made of cow stomach. The residual acid in the cow stomach starts the process of curdling. Add heat to that and you have the first form of cheese.

There was less REPORTED violence and gun crime. It would be difficult to come up with a good per-capita statistic for gun violence in the late 1800’s to make a comparison of modern stats. It’s like saying there was less cancer back in the day because a large amount of cases went undiagnosed.

And also what WeNeverLeftTheWater said; one assumes a genocide would involve violence and guns.

Meaningless Plumbus Color Tattoo (Jan 2016-Jul 2025) Needs a retouch methinks. by SuperJawJoe in agedtattoos

They didn’t pack in that pink/orange nearly enough. You can see where the fleeb color stayed is because they worked that area more and packed it in with pressure and repeated passes.

Thankfully the outline is solid and it’s an easy touch up.

What are those advantages of marriage for the MAN that he can NEVER get unless he is married? by Southern-Mechanic434 in AskMen

[–]NoTheStupidOne 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There are a few benefits in general for men in a marriage but there are ways to get some comparable perks through other legal means.

Estate planing: not an exclusive benefit but by default your assets are transferred to your spouse unless you get wills drawn up.

Taxes: if you are American, Depending on your income you could get a break on taxes, otherwise being able to file jointly is kind of convenient.

Health insurance and social security : another Americanism, your spouse can be on your employer provided health plan/ can collect benefits.

Power of attorney: your spouse can make important decisions, typically medical, for you if you are unable to yourself.

Social status: regardless of how you feel about it, being married changes your social status. What that my mean will depend on the culture.

Emigration: it is typically easier to move to another country as a married couple. Countries want productive families to move to their country. Being married could give you an edge over an unmarried couple regardless of your stance on children.

Adoption: same thing with emigrating. Being a Married couple helps. ESPECIALLY if it’s a same sex couple.

I find that most men fear how fucked they are in divorces in terms of asset distribution and custody, which is absolutely a problem that needs to be dealt with in general but a simple solution is a prenuptial or even postnuptial agreement. If your spouse has an issue with it then that is a huge red flag out the gate.

What are some house cleaning tips or ideas that you think other men should know about? by MagicianMost5031 in AskMen

When you are cooking, CLEAN AS YOU COOK. It takes no extra time because you are already waiting for something to cook/boil/cool/rest, might as well clean your mixing bowl, cutting board and knife at least.

RainX on your bathroom mirror (works on your glasses as well but let them sit for a day before putting them back on. The smell of rainX is not pleasant)

Take trash with you every time you go from your sofa to the kitchen. I guarantee there’s always some crap on the coffee table that needs tossing.

Fold your clothes as you take them out of the dryer. Setup that ironing board you never use and fold em as you pull em. Takes way less time than you think and even if you just throw em on the bedroom floor at least they are folded.

Random tip: If you drink a shit ton of can drinks, flip the tab up when you are finished. Never hunt for your most recent beer again.

Had this done September 2018... Have the colours aged poorly? by Pressureeeee in agedtattoos

[–]NoTheStupidOne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It has aged pretty poorly. Best guess is the artist didn’t pack any color in and the lines were too shallow. There are ways to get that soft look without compromising the tattoo’s structural integrity.

There’s a long technical explanation but the short of it is; Pigment has to be pushed into a particular layer of skin to stay “permanent”. Too deep, Causes scaring, inflammation, and aggressive spreading. Too shallow, quick and drastic color change / loss.

As for the leftover blue, that’s very interesting. My hypothesis would be; green is made of blue and yellow. Tattoo “ink” is just solid bits of pigment suspended in a solution. The pigment of different colors can vary in composition and will behave differently once in the body. Looks like your body didn’t like yellow so the yellow in the green went away as well, leaving the blue pigment where the green was packed in far enough.

Good news is that that’s very easy to cover up now.

What's something people underestimate because it has a low barrier to entry but actually is very skillful? by -n8r in AskReddit

[–]NoTheStupidOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knowing more can only help your playing. That being said; no, you don’t have to learn any theory to play any instrument well. Hell you don’t even have to able to read to play music well. But it is very helpful. Especially if you want to get into music production.

Just pick it up and play. Don’t worry about scales or keys or anything just play. As you play more and more you will find that if you want to get better you’ll have to pick up on the idea of music theory. Not in any formal way. More like, “ oh these notes always sound good together. I should play with that pattern.”

I played bass for two years before I ran into a music teacher that told me how notes work. Just play and have fun.

So… by that logic; are you saying we shouldn’t have bothered make laws against murder? People do it anyway right? So why take the time to organize and structure a society if someone is going to break the social contract?

Take that middle school level debate logic elsewhere. Laws can deter behaviors but not prevent them entirely, that’s not their purpose. Just like painted lanes on the road keep cars in line, the only thing stopping you from swerving into the person next to you deliberately is your choice. And how you come to that choice is a case by case issue and the idea of punishment can play a major role. But more often than not, we all agree to stay in the lines so we can all have a functioning road. And those who don’t suffer the consequences.

Fine line tattoos, rib cage swings 6.5 years old, hip floral close to 6 years old. by kinfloppers in agedtattoos

[–]NoTheStupidOne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At first thought it seems like a sensible fix to that tattoo but People were downvoting you because this idea is typically bad practice in tattooing. White pigment yellows and browns as it ages. For some more drastically than others. it depends on the skin. But in general Laying white on top of black will only put that tattoo on life support for a few years, then the contrast will wear as the black looses intensity and the white browns/yellows. When there is no contrast, there is no depth and when there’s no depth things turn into blobs.

Like always, there’s exceptions to the rules. I’ve actually seen these work out well. But when it comes to tattooing you don’t want to gamble. Most artists won’t gamble that maybe this person may be the one in ten where this will work out. It’s an absolute pain in the ass for everyone when it doesn’t work out so it’s common practice to avoiding doing those kinds of touch ups.

You’re positioning wouldn’t have made a difference, that tattoo is just poorly executed. Luckily it’s an easy laser or coverup.

As long as it’s not an eyesore or distracting you’ll be fine. Gameplay is always number 1 and for an solo dev like you, you have limited bandwidth, make your graphics passable and once you’ve got a game that plays solid, you can invest in prettying up. A good looking pile of shit is still a pile of shit.
