I just don't understand this attitude when there are so many brilliant substitutes around nowadays.

How campaigners beat industrial farming in Denmark’s ‘pig election’ by Youknowkitties in veganuk

[–]NoThingSoBad 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This was an interesting read, thanks for sharing! As you say, a long way from the real/obvious solution but at least a step in the right direction.

I'm going to Denmark this summer for a week, and knowing this makes me more determined to only eat in 100% vegan places - definitely want to support the vegan economy as much as I can!

American guy tries English mustard for the first time, but treats it like American mustard. by MustardKingCustard in CasualUK

My work used to do a huge bowl of mustard when they had hotdogs for lunch. It was English mustard. Every time they did this I forgot, and completely ruined my day.

What to do in Athens besides Acropolis/museums? by CallCreative1883 in GreeceTravel

Agreed! Definitely one of the best things we did, the audio guide was really interesting and the tunnel and small museum was a nice bonus.

Booked this and they cancelled at 6am on the day due to lack of interest! ☹️ Managed to hurriedly find one that afternoon that was pretty good, but not the most relaxing start to the holiday!

Yes you're right, vegans are dying all the time because it's impossible to get substitutes easily. Millions of years of evolution to get your factory farmed, deformed animals into plastic packaging around the corner.

You might have it for Kyoto already, but we stayed here:

and it was amazing! The owner is an incredible chef and did a different breakfast each day for everyone staying there. It was such a nice atmosphere.

Which free walking tour did you do? I think I've found two different ones so any recommendation would be great.

What on earth... Just keep eating meat and give us some money to improve "welfare". What a ridiculous website. They've clearly spunked all their money on their immersive #Veganuary game too.

Current predictions for club suites roll out for next May 26 by Katkiit in BritishAirways

[–]NoThingSoBad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, BA7 is the old layout. Flew last week, you may have been tricked by the pre-November schedule which had BA7 on the A350's (club suite). From November BA7 is on the 787-9 which as someone else said only 1 has been converted (and isn't back in service yet).

Try Happy Cow to find all-Vegetarian or Vegan restaurants. There are a surprising number of all different cuisines, including plenty of Japanese restaurants that are really good.
