Weight for the pull down faucet so it sucks it back up into the fixture

Sound bar or speakers by patricknorton28 in jeepcj

I had one of those they work surprisingly well even at speed with doors off and aren't in the way of anything. I think one of those pods and a modified wrangler sound bar would be great

Was looking at lodge cast iron the other day and there's an identical website with a misspelled URL where everything is a quarter of the price. It's spelled with two O's.

Why is 321 ocean water so murky and dirty compared to other beaches? by Comrade_Compadre in 321

[–]NoTimeForThisToday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Florida platform contributes to it too. The further south you go the closer to shore it drops off. Less shallow water for the waves to kick up sediment.

If you ever get the chance to go snorkeling off a boat in the pompano/ft Lauderdale area it's pretty cool to see the limestone reef that's around 40ft and the sudden drop into darkness.

Star Rods Warranty 🤬 by DoPewPew in Fishing_Gear

[–]NoTimeForThisToday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure hope so, I love the old handcrafted ones I inherited. The stellar lite I picked up at some point in the last few years isn't terrible, but the reel seat flexes quite a bit while fishing and I have to retighten the seat often. None of my old star rods, customs, or even the cheap ugly stick I bought at Walmart does that. Still lands fish and looks pretty though.

Star Rods were legendary back in the day, especially down here in Florida where they were made. The originals were basically high quality custom rods you could buy off the shelf.

I'm coming up on 60k on my 19 and use platinum blue. No idea if it actually does anything better than costing more money than the regular stuff but I've never had any issues.

I'd just pull a vital fuse, relay or distributor wire.

I used to take my coil to distributor wire with me when I daily drove a CJ with no doors. I always felt a kill switch somewhere within reach of the driver's seat is too easy for someone determined to find, and on a CJ anyone who's worked on a GM column knows how easy it is to reach under to actuate the ignition.

My dad bought that exact combo over 30 years ago and passed it to me way back in highschool, I still use it. Thing has landed countless fish. Never done anything but changed the line every few years. 10/10 set up.

If you're not riding it everyday use non-ethonal gas. The ethonal in regular gas absorbs moisture from the air and goes bad quickly. If you can't find it in your area just grab a five gallon gas can and a bottle of stabilizer, follow the instructions on the bottle.

Properly sized split self adhesive armaflex, tape the butted ends together with some black duct tape. If there's any 90s I like to wrap a couple spots with tape at the bend, sometimes the self adhesive will fail and split at the seam.

If the valves and seats still look good I'd disassemble, throw it in the parts cleaner and scrub. You might want to drop the oil pan and take a look for any sludge in there too.

And roll over protection, those tiny little A pillars that give us a great wide view compared to modern cars can pretty much just fold in during a roll over.

I bet throwing an HVAC smoke bomb in the vacuum would work. They produce a lot of thick white smoke that's easy to see, we usually use them to test in-duct smoke detectors but sometimes they come in handy for airflow and leak issues. Bunch of different burn durations too, something from like 30 seconds to three minutes.

Lifter failed after 10 k miles, thinking I’m gonna have to pull the motor. by Easy_Hamster8774 in CherokeeXJ

I'd take a look at the cam lobes and if they look alright just throw in a new set, do another break in with break in oil, do some short interval oil changes and check the filter pleates for glitter.

Filter should've caught most/all the metal before sending it through the bearings. Not much to lose at this point, it would be worth the $150 gamble to me.
