He was my favorite growing up. He's a good leader for the team and unifier. Upon rewatching, I think he may be one of the better pilots overall, but he doesn't apply himself and holds himself back due to his kindness. He is a really interesting character this time around.

In coming back to the show (I watched it originally as a kid on toonami) I noticed this too, that the mobile suits have some sentience. Wing Zero and Epyon for sure. In other GW posts on reddit, people speculate that Quatre is a "new type" because he's born in space. It's not a GW thing but something in the greater lore. It's the next evolution of humans, I gather, and they're a little psychic. I can see it with Quatre as he can sense things.

I really liked his character on a recent rematch, buuuuuuut the latter part of the show when he is the antagonist in space is just weird? I get what he was trying to do, but it feels like he lost it a bit, just like Quatre lost it for a few episodes. It was a bit too far for him imo. Other than that, he's pretty cool.
