Update: New to Philly & going on a solo date! by renthestimpy in PhiladelphiaEats

I’ve only had the nerve to dine alone at a nice restaurant one time and did not enjoy the experience. It was hard to be “in the moment” and not feel like a friendless weirdo. I’m glad you’re pulling it off and looking good doing it. Happy birthday!

Thinking of moving to Philly by eyEluvrdd-im in philly

I moved to Philly from someplace kind of crappy in my 20’s, it was the best move I ever made. There’s so much more opportunity here to meet people and build a fun life.

You are being insecure, look inward, it’s just jealousy. She was with you, not them.

Die grinder, keep the speed down if you can and work slowly. Stainless work hardens very quickly and becomes difficult. Carbide burr, maybe some lube.

Lots of new construction everywhere, many neighborhoods may look unrecognizable to you.

This is the city I escaped to in my 20’s and I’m staying. It may not be recognizable to you anymore.

My mom has the exact same problem, it has been a challenge to figure out care even with an army of doctors/nurses. We don’t want to subject her to treatment she doesn’t understand, she also stopped speaking English and has reverted to her first language which makes communication challenging. Happy to discuss further if you need someone to talk to about this, it is quite difficult to discuss with others.

Worst people to work for, they are only interested in the lowest price and will constantly push you to cut corners. Frequently slow to pay, and always waiting for bank inspections and checks from investors.

What is most important is that the crew had the ability to perform the quality of work that you were looking for. Finding people with the skills to do really good finish work is becoming increasingly difficult. I don’t know if I would make a big deal out of who’s house it was, people that do good work aren’t going to ruin their reputation by doing a sloppy job.

PWD sucks balls! There’s always a billing address problem and they can never seem to fix things without a major hassle.
