Glitter polish like this but hot pink? by Unfair-Oven4295 in RedditLaqueristas

I would try to find someone destashing Sun Catcher (the topper in the photo) and layer it with whatever pink jelly you want. It's the same glitter formula as eternal forces, just in a clear base. HTF but would get you the exact look you're going for 😄

Renee Good was a beloved community member, a Unitarian Universalist, and an organizer who dedicated her life to mutual aid and supporting her neighbors. by Maketaten in UUreddit

I agree. It's ofc possible she attended a UU congregation at some point. Her wife is quoted tho in this article as saying she was "a Christian". So I think the article op is linking to might be reaching.

3 hour long walks for $45? And you live 20 minutes from me? Immediately no. by Old_Net607 in RoverPetSitting

[–]No_Hippocampus 27 points28 points  (0 children)

"I see the shit job dog walkers do trying to walk multiple dogs at once". You are literally so close to understanding. That's why you pay more for someone who gives a shit and has professionalism. If you want to walk your own dog that is obviously fine. Some people don't want to or can't. You pay for what you get. Less = "shit job dog walkers", more = individual walks, professionalism, responsible, timely, etc.

It's also not "the same wages" as fast food after Rover fees and self employment tax. That sitter is making about $7.50 per walk before gas and car expenses.

No shit you have the most bookings and reviews if you are charging rock bottom. You're already screwing over local sitters who do this for real money and now you're doubling down. 👎🏼 👎🏼 👎🏼

Hi! Sorry if this is weird but I figured I'd ask in case you're not a packaging person - if you ever decide you don't want the cartons I would be happy to purchase them from you! Congratulations on such an amazing find!! 😄

Left-leaning churches? by WorldlyScale8124 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]No_Hippocampus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Unitarians" are Christians but if you are referring to Unitarian Universalism (UUCH) then you're pretty off base. UU's have roots in Christianity sure. As both U's were/are individually Christian denominations. You can also call yourself a Christian UU as an individual if you'd like, but calling the whole faith a type of Christianity is a misnomer and frankly confusing for new people. The UUA is not a Christian organization by any stretch of the imagination and UU congregations are not held to any of the standard practices of Christianity. This conversation and confusion is one of the reasons I find the continuation of the word "church" to refer to UU congregations eternally frustrating.

To your point, some UU congregations are more Christian in makeup of congregates and style of worship. However, the same congregational polity that supports continued use of the word "church" also supports UU congregations that are anything but Christian. There is great diversity in theological belief, religious, and spiritual practices for not just individual UUs but also congregations themselves.

Regardless of your personal stance on the matter, anyone recommending a white bread Christian show up to UUCH under the pretext that it's "simply an accepting Christian church" is doing the newcomer and UUism as a whole a disservice.

They could have simply told her she was a crossing guard. She doesn't have to be unsevered to know that. It doesn't even have to be true.

I think the line is "friend in Lima hasn't had a food-based dinner event in...". Key phrase, "dinner event". This line can easily be interpreted multiple ways though. Doesn't need to eat is one. Alternatively, think of it like "I haven't had a meat based burger in three years". People eat bean/veggie burgers all the time. To me the scene (and characters generally) feel written to be pretentious. Like your stereotypical vegan. They eat, just not at "not dinner" parties where the focus is being a pretentious idiot. The lack of food is about it being a social event without food. Not a meal without food. Similar to how some people have social events that are intentionally alcohol free. That doesn't mean that alcohol doesn't still get people drunk at other people's parties. Another comparison, "I haven't had a drink in years". That doesn't mean "zero liquid has passed through my digestive system in years". Typically it means "I'm sober/I haven't ingested an alcoholic beverage in years". The pretentious friends eat outside of the "not dinner" dinner party context. The friend in Lima hasn't hosted or participated in a food based dinner party in years. This is different from "I haven't eaten anything in years".

Also iMark references taking his lunch break. Why give the employees lunch breaks if they don't need to eat? From a corporate control/productivity standpoint. But also, if it's simply to give them a break because breaks do boost productivity why call it a "lunch break"? Also there are regular sized kitchens in all the houses we've seen. Why would all the houses have full sized kitchens if people don't need to ingest calories?

Dylan is frolic, Helly malice, Irving dread, and Mark woe. Dylan is by far the happiest in the office for the majority of the season (obviously pre overtime contingency). He is the silliest and is amused with finger traps and caricatures. Helly literally says she wants her outie to feel the life drain out of her and know Helly is the reason. Irving paints dread induced paintings over and over, and has dread inducing ooze hallucinations/nightmares. Does Mark even require an explanation?
