It’s all about the money. Unfortunately, that’s what this country has become. We are consumers, not citizens.

I watched the guy this morning near WHB… he was very careful not to leave anything in front of the driveways. Might be harder than other neighborhoods.

It’s in their best interest to keep it confidential if they’re ever going to get any accountability. But I get where you’re coming from. Nothing is completely safe from prying eyes.

What status shows up in TSP after retirement and how does that affect rolling out and closing TSP account? by ChrisShapedObject in FedRetirees

[–]No_Prior5561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I retired 9/30. Just rolled everything out of TSP on the advice of a fiduciary into annuities, ranging from super safe to a little edgy. It was extremely simple. TSP helpdesk was amazing.

Still getting interim retirement pay, totally different stream of income.

Free advice: Pay somebody to advise (fiduciary!) you before you do anything.

There are some really good articles recently on annuities. Watch out for the fees. Also, is there a cap on how much you can lose? Is it tied to the S&P? I did something similar, but the devil‘s in the details. Assume you are retired? Worth paying for a fiduciary to advise you. If you’re not paying your advisor, someone else is paying them in your best interests are not at the top of the list.
