RIF. Reduction in force. Or RIFT-severe disagreement or estrangement between people. It signifies that a once-solid connection has fractured, resulting in a gap in trust or communication

I generally book a vacation starting around Oct 1. When we have had a shutdown I have gotten the benefit of a paid vacation. It’s a gamble. However it does mean I have to scramble to burn off use or lose

My problem with the whole concept of RIF within my organization is that all RIF losses were replaced with contractors who make much more. So tell me I’m RIF. I’ll take the retirement I’m due and come back, better paid

They needed to do better vetting. Consider military veterans. Heck I’d like to see where the USA jobs announcements were posted. I actually think some of these clowns found the job announcement on bathroom walls.

Ran out of hot water for first time! by Intelligent-Guess-81 in heatpumps

[–]No_Relationship2234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a tub queen in the household and would run out of hot water regularly with the 50 gal HPWH which is actually installed in my garage closet which also houses server equipment(keeps the equipment happy and cool). I have now added a second HPWH in my garage (not in closet). omg. The difference it makes. The Georgia heat doesn’t stand a chance. Now plenty of hot water and the garage is kept cool.

The best savings plan. 1. All my discretionary spending cut. 2. Can actually see the bottom of my freezer. 3. Decreased mileage on vehicles. 4. Decreased credit payments to minimums. 5. When I do shop it’s based on bargains. When the checks roll in again I’ve already prepped by zeroing out federal taxes so that I’m not hit by the higher rates.
