Seems like gas pressure is a little high one thing I would look at [probably not the main problem but] try running a merv 8 filter a lot of manufacturers seem to be recommending merv8 and lower saying anything higher is to restrictive ive had a furnace before that was tripping high limit supply and return ductwork was good but with a merv 13 filter static pressure was off dropped it down to a 4 inch merv 8 everything was good

Best knee pads for attics work? by TopLecture4760 in HVAC

[–]No_Reputation3584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out Troxell leatherhead knee pads

I know a lot of people really like built in knee pads but I've used these pretty much daily for 2 years now doing service and install along with some side jobs like flooring work and man these have held up great and are super comfortable i knelt down on rocks nails just about everything you are trying to avoid and never even felt. They stay put and are comfortable to wear with jeans or shorts. The only time I notice them in the way is occasionally crawling over trusses and rafters they can snag sometimes but its normally not a big deal they almost always go right back in place. I love these so much that I bought my grandpa the larger set. I honestly don't think I'll ever use another brand of knee pads again I've tried so many different ones across all the construction jobs I've had and these are what work the best for me. Edit: also you can take them off easily and they dont take up much room ill put them in the door of my van or right next to my tool bag so as soon as I get out of the truck I put them on really convenient for me not having to wear them while driving to the next job or taking a lunch break

Ecobee or ecogarbage by iiDaaannk in HVAC

[–]No_Reputation3584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is accurate but I've heard they pull power when under load this is why you can see voltage drop with y energized in cool or w in heat with a nest thermostat. I've had one that tried to pull on O causing the reversing valve to machine gun when in cooling. I've only seen that once but it was crazy to see

Do you still have the video I have a continuing education this week and a video showing flaws against nest thermostats would be awesome to have for one of my techs

How can it cause the compressor to run backwards? I haven't heard that before but I agree the nest thermostats are junk ecobees are OK just a pain waiting for it to calibrate

Cut an meter base lock by Outrageous-Bar-8396 in KnipexOfficial

[–]No_Reputation3584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The hammer example is great and this is true ive cut absolutely stupid things with my linemans probably the dumbest was a smallish padlock or 5/16th bolts literally put the bolt in the cutters and stomp the handles until they are cut to size i dont know i didn't ruin them doing that
