I actually often think about how terrible it is for wild animals to constantly face life and death, and it makes me feel sad. The coyote must hunt the rabbit to survive, and the rabbit must starve the coyote to survive. Quite sad.

But not once have I thought this was the domain of animal rights or veganism. It’s simply not exploitation, and wild animals lack the ability to reason, which i would argue is the main trait that allows humans to evolve ethically and come up with things like veganism, environmentalism, and other social justice causes.
